Verbs

Words like do, go, have, live and be are verbs. We change the form of the verb to show the time we are referring to.

Present

We use the present simple to talk about: things that are true now things that are always true things that happen regularly. I live in the city centre. Water boils at 100 °C.

We use the present continuous to talk about:
