Cambridge University Press has collaborated with the Institute of Education, world leaders in Primary reading, to create Cambridge Reading Adventures, a series of 90 books and Teaching and Assessment Guides. The books have been meticulously levelled into Book Bands which take a child from being a wholly new reader (whatever their language background) to being fluent and independent readers able to engage with the wider curriculum. The readers are both fiction and non-fiction, covering a wide range of subjects – with stories set in an international school, traditional and animal tales, stories in a contemporary or historic setting, non-fiction reports and explanations, all with a deliberately international flavour which pupils all around the world can relate to.
