Commissioned to produce a book to illustrate what the North West had to offer within the cultural sector in the lead up to the London 2012 Games. This was instrumental in helping to establish partnerships to deliver a comprehensive programme of Cultural Olympiad events.

An existing annual event but this campaign took marketing material from looking like a basic local event to something that was more epic. This 3 day event was the largest cycling event in the Middle East. Steve developed the concept of the Spin City headline and created this filmstyle poster to show the size and scale of the event.

Developed an internal manual to be used by all staff employed at Liverpool One to log their progress within the company and to supply them with helpful information to get the most out of their time at Liverpool One. It took the recognisable coloured tubes from the exterior of the building and used them to create an effective colour coding system through the folder. The cutout on the front not only was aesthetically pleasing but effectively showed all areas of the persons development areas without opening. The heart from the existing branding was used but created with a ‘Your team at the heart’ strapline to produce what ended up to be a very well received and effective campaign.

Lots of different branding concepts for Raise the Bar and keeping high-profile clients happy by taking into consideration their own branding and styling requirements. Heiniken and Halfords needed a very different approach to Boots and UCAS.

This showcases a variety of ideas, concepts and designs used to promote the product. From packaged clings that are sold direct to the public to decorate children’s rooms or an seasonal event to work directly for their clients using their existing guidelines. This illustrates how this product can be used for clean, easy installation. Also used well for guerrilla marketing.

Production of a health check guide for GPs. Steve advised on the A5 mini folder with inserts of decreasing sizes. This worked well and led to referrals with other NHS trusts.

Created the concept, illustration and artwork for a campaign to promote more effective business travel in the Ellesmere Port area, encouraging walking, cycling and public transport to get to work. Decided to encourage people to remember the message and to cheer up commuters by encouraging the viewer to sing the words. The final graphic was not a sing-along but had the music theme at the same time as giving the relevant message with Sunny and Share and Share and Care. This is still current but is highly visible across the relevant area.

Part of the 2012 Cultural Olympiad that was a big success story of Lakes Alive. This was embraced by visitors and residents alike and even after the Games the local businesses and Arts Council have seen the success of Mintfest continue to run and be embraced by Kendal locals.
