The company was built on the experience and know how of properly designing, installing, maintaining, and servicing central air conditioning systems for residential homes. Sunset Air is a full service, State Certified and Licensed air conditioning contractor which offers a wide variety of services and products relating to the total indoor environment of a home or commercial building. We make certain that the overall comfort level is appropriate and that the quality of the air itself offers a safe, healthy environment. We have since installed thousands of systems in Lee, Collier, and Charlotte County while working for some of the largest national home builders in our area. We also work with several large local commercial and custom home builders and have been successful in these endeavors as well. Sunset Air continues to be one of the areas top performing air conditioning contractors with dedicated 24 hour 7 day per week service at competitive rates and discounted rates to our contract customers. We have well trained certified service technicians and we continue to evolve with our industry as it changes. The air conditioning industry continues to change at a rapid pace with sophisticated new age technology and it is imperative that we change with it. By staying on top of new technology Sunset Air keeps itself well above most of our local competition. We have also made great advances in Indoor Air Quality (IAQ). This part of our industry has been proven to be a larger market than air conditioning itself. With advances in filtration and Ultra Violet Lights as well as Duct Cleaning and Dryer Vent Cleaning, we have again made great progress at offering our customers quality all in one service for all of their air conditioning needs. It started with a plan to begin with new construction and work our way to being a dependable service company. Our business plan worked very successfully and we continue to still be one of the areas leaders in new residential system installation. We still offer services to both production type builders and custom home builders. EDWIN RUUD: INVENTOR OF THE FIRST AUTOMATIC GAS WATER HEATER It’s a time beyond recollection for most of us now. But before Edwin Ruud, hot running water on demand was a luxury unknown to even the most affluent Americans. While working in Pittsburgh in the 1880s for industrialist George Westinghouse, young Ruud built the first automatic, storage tank-type gas water heater. The unit went into production around 1889 and patents followed soon afterward. Ruud eventually bought the rights to his invention and in 1897 organized his own company to make water heaters. Other breakthroughs, large and small, followed over the years, as Ruud became a leading pioneer in water heating products for the home as well as for commercial and industrial applications. If you didn’t purchase an optional extended warranty when you bought your system, it’s not too late. Extended warranties can still be purchased for units or systems less than five (5) years old.* An extended warranty protects your investment and gives you peace of mind for the long run. If you didn’t purchase an optional extended warranty when you bought your system, it’s not too late. If you currently have an optional extended warranty and require service, just call the dealer listed on your agreement and he’ll take care of you. If you are unable to contact your assigned servicer, call any Trane dealer listed under the Trane listing in your local Yellow Pages or use our dealer locator for assistance.
