Who are your favorite painter and composer? I’ll take the new-school approach as far as my favorite painter is concerned and just go with my favorite artist; Nicolas Sparth Bouvier. A few years back, I came across his book Structura. He blew me away instantly with his use of color, texture, and custom brushes for Photoshop. His artwork has inspired me to develop my own technique. As for my favorite composer, it would have to be Hans Zimmer. His resume includes Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Call of Duty and Requiem just to name a few. His work not only inspires me, it pumps me up and gets the creative juices flowing. Where would you like to live? Back in New York. What is your main fault? Procrastination. What are your favorite food and drink? A cheeseburger and Coke. What is your idea of misery? Having nobody to confide in. How would you wish to die? For some people, dying is a means to go out with a bang. Whether it’s saving a person from a burning building or some other type of heroic deed. Personally, I hope to achieve in life this reputation from those I love and am closest to that no matter the way I die, that I am somebody that is remembered for the way I lived my life rather than the way I died. What is your idea of happiness? Doing something you love and getting paid for it, as well as having someone to share your happiness with.

What do you appreciate the most in your friends? Their company and differences; it helps me to stop secondguessing myself. What is your favorite virtue? Being genuinely curious. What is your idea of happiness? Mutually using and being used physically and emotionally towards helping those in need, instead of changing the minds of people who aren’t willing to change. What natural talent would you like to be gifted with? Being Multilingual. What is your main Fault? First Impression of the day with new and old people. Its surprising how so much assumption can be taken away from a mere sigh. How would you wish to die? Like the ending to ‘Big Fish’. Racing to great lengths to a destination vibrant and familiar; where everyone you know, enemies and friends alike, giving a final bow to you as the curtains come to a close of a great drama you were a part of. What is your favorite motto? Too much reality is insanity.

What is your favorite virtue? Humility. When everyone screams “Look at me!” for anything and everything nowadays, staying humble and remembering that it takes hard work to succeed is invaluable. What do you appreciate the most in your friends? Reliability. To know that I can count on them when I need them, it makes all the difference. What is your idea of happiness? To me, happiness is knowing that you make a difference in someone’s life, because amusing oneself offers only temporary joy. To see someone smile and laugh because of my effort, is infinitely more rewarding than anything I could ever do for myself. What is your idea of misery? This goes hand in hand with the question above. To me, misery is knowing that no matter what you do, it doesn’t mean anything to anyone. To work so hard, but have your efforts go unnoticed and unappreciated is like not being there at all. Who are your favorite painters? My favorite master painters include but not limited to John Singer Sargeant, Joaquin Sorolla, Anders Zorn and Hans Holbein. What are your favorite food and drink? Right now, my favorite combo is chicken wings and Dr. Pepper. I don’t know what it is, but I’ll never get tired of eating chicken wings. What natural talent would like to be gifted with? Growing up, I always wish I had more athletic ability like running faster, jumping higher, etc. In fact, I still wish I could be the next Michael Jordan or Dan Marino; but you know, if I had those skills, I probably wouldn’t be where I am today, and I really like my life right now.

What do you appreciate the most in your friends? Some of the most memorable moments of my life are times that I have shared with my friends. If there’s any one thing that I value and appreciate the most in my friends, it would have to be their company. What is your main fault? I’m condescending towards people sometimes. What is your idea of misery? It may seem strange, but I don’t like it when it’s quiet. Being stuck with only my thoughts is torture for me. I have to always be listening to something, music, podcasts, etc. What are your favorite food and drink? My favorite thing in the world to eat is the breakfast I used to have when I lived in Guatemala. I would have some scrambled eggs, refried beans, toast and some coffee which until I was older, didn’t realize it was strange for me to be drinking coffee as a kid. What natural talent would you like to be gifted with? If there’s any one talent that I would like to be really good at, it would have to be singing. If only my voice could sound as good to everyone else as it does in my head... What are your favorite names? I really like names that start with the letter A. I don’t know why, but they all sound really cool. Though I do know that when I have kids, all their names are going to start with A’s. What is your favorite motto? “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.” -Theodor Seuss Geisel
