SCHEDULE NOTES: Losses have taken ahold of the Falcons schedule over the last four games, pushing their record down to 2-4 overall and 0-3 in NACC play. They put on an offense display in a narrow loss to Benedictine at home two weeks ago and then struggled on both sides of the ball in a road loss at Wisconsin Lutheran last week.
Falcons Notes
• LASTTIME OUT FOR CUW:The Falcons ran for an unflattering 20 yards on 29 carries and then allowed Wisconsin Lutheran to rush for 319 yards on 56 atttempts (5.7 average). Concordia Wisconsin also turned the ball over three times (INT, 2 fumbles) and was sacked seven times. THE SERIES (SINCE 2008): Concordia Wisconsin and Concordia Chicago are at a stalemate in the series since 2008, with each school winning four games. More importantly, the Falcons have won the last three games with offensive explosions, averaging 48 points per win. The last meeting was a 49-14 decision the Falcons favor in River Forest, Ill. • REDIRECTING THE SHIP: Concordia Wisconsin must find a way to be more consistent on both sides of the ball. They have struggled to run the ball and had spurts of a great passing game, and just once during the NACC era did they have a five-game losing streak. • KEY PLAYER TO WATCH FOR CUW: Defensive end De'Shawn Pullen has played well lately, with 18 tackles and two sacks in the last three games. Last week at Wisconsin Lutheran he made 4.5 tackles for loss, two sacks and forced a fumble.
• MATCHUP TO WATCH: Running back Logan Hass versus the Concordia Chicago run defense. Hass is the Falcons leading rusher with 215 yards, while the Cougars are allowing 285 rushing yards per game. • WHAT IS AT STAKE: A home victory for the Falcons to snap a four-game losing streak and a chance for their first NACC win of the season. Also, a chance to defeat the Cougars for the fourth-straight time. NACC Standings Team Lakeland# Aurora Benedictine Wisconsin Lutheran Concordia Chicago Concordia Wisconsin Rockford
