LAST NIGHT: The Falcons lost for just the second time in their last eight games last night in a road game at Marian. The Sabres scored in the first, while both teams tallied a goal in the second for a 2-1 final score. The result moved Marian within a point of CUW for second place in the NCHA North.

• POWER PLAY STRUGGLES: CUW hasn’t produced the results its look-
ing for on the power play this season. The Falcons have converted just 12.9 percent of their power plays, scoring on 12-of-85 chances. Last night CUW was 0-for-3 with the man advantage.

PEARSON AND HAHN GETTING IT DONE: The freshmen duo of Jim Pearson and Dante Hahn has been productive for the Falcons this season. Both rank inside the top 35 nationally in points per game among freshmen. Hahn has one goal and 12 assists in 15 games, while Perason has scored nine goals and assisted on three others.
• SOLVING MARIAN: The Falcons have struggled against the Sabres, fall-
ing in eight straight games. The last CUW win over Marian came during the 2012-13 season, a 6-3 victory in the season finale. CUW has defeated Marian just two times in program history.
