The Falcons were selected to win the MWLC regular season title in the Preseason Poll. Last season they finished with a 7-0 league record and won the MWLC Tournament. Allison Kurek set seven career per game records last season and was subsequently named All-IWLCA and MWLC Offensive Player of the Week.

CUW owns a 2-0 record against Augsburg over the last two seasons. The Falcons have defeated the Auggies by scores of 16-2 and 24-8 since 2014. Last season they 11 of the 12 goals in the second half to pull away from a 13-7 halftime lead. CUW owned a 22-12 advantage in draw controls, 39-22 difference in shots and cleared 18-of-21 attempts. This is the first season Augsburg is a member of the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference.
