Welcome: Carlo Zoccali
Introduction
Welcome to the second edition of Innovation and Technology in Transport - ITT Hub at Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre.
When we acquired the show after its successful launch in 2021, we had a clear vision – to create a year-round platform for the commercial transport industry to convene, to share insight, connect and collaborate, in-line with our own core values of furthering intelligence and technology towards a sustainable future.
We’re proud to support our industry, which has not stalled, no matter what the challenge it is faced with, and continues to drive forward the international goal to achieving net zero operations.
Our team works in tandem with the engine of Farnborough International, renowned for developing and delivering world class events such as the Farnborough International Airshow.
Our focus is to cement ITT Hub’s position as the leading platform, news network and event connecting the industry, from manufacturer, to buyer and operator, while engaging and strengthening our partnerships with key Government departments, national transport bodies and industry associations.
We are delighted to host Trudy Harrison MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Transport (DfT). With an abundance of new innovations and developments taking place across the sector, we are proud to welcome Trudy to Farnborough International for an exceptional showcase of the best of our industry.
We welcome back our partner Logistics UK, the organiser of the must-attend Future Logistics Conference. The stellar programme, featuring more than 20 industry-leading speakers, is headlined by world-renowned space scientist Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock MBE and is free to attend, so I encourage you not to miss it.
To be a catalyst for significant change across all corners within the commercial transport sector, we are proud to launch the Talent and Energy Theatre Hubs to accelerate conversations on attracting, recruiting and retaining the future workforce, and the latest topics affecting energy and infrastructure.
Enabling attendees to enjoy an end-to-end experience, our highly-engaged Ride & Drive initiative has returned and will enable you to trial the latest vehicles, a must-try experience.
Thank you to our leading commercial partners, National Grid, Western Power Distribution (WPD), Zenobē, Lloyds Bank and Lex Autolease. With their help, we can strengthen ITT Hub as a change-agent in the sector, leading the emerging ecosystem of innovation and provide a toolkit of opportunities, solutions and connections throughout the year for our industry to survive and thrive.
We’re all working to a common goal: to reshape the transport industry and make net zero a reality through driving innovation, pioneering technology and leading partnerships. With the continued support from our partners, sponsors, exhibitors and attendees, we have seen exponential growth in this year’s ITT Hub, I wish you all a very insightful and successful two-days at ITT Hub 2022.
