HIGHLIGHTS | NORI
WHEN DEVELOPING NORI, DESIGNER SARAH STRICKLAND LOOKED TO BLEND ATMOSPHERIC ELEMENTS FROM LAND AND SEA TO CREATE A MODERN TAKE ON A FLORAL TEA STORY.
We’re drawn to the way the colours and textures echo the rough and rugged coastlines of Australia, seen in the earthy, clay-like tones as well as the touch and feel of the textural glaze elements. The ocean-inspired designs of seaweed-like florals and marine algae float across an airy, speckle milk glaze while the floral centres are hand-decorated, delivering folk art cues with a contemporary feel.

The transparent, mottled blue encircling the outer edges of Atol draws inspiration from crashing waves and deep blue seas.
This stoneware collection offers an organic shape with a high gloss outer and a flat-profile, exposed base. The rims are emphasised by a neutral hue and contrast against the reactive blue glaze as it washes across the cream-toned base.
