The Max Benjamin Story
Max Benjamin was founded in Ireland in 2007. The brand name comes from twins Max and Ben, the sons of Orla who is the original founder and co-owner of the business along with her brothers David and Mark. All products are lovingly designed, created and handmade at their artisan studios in County Wicklow, Ireland.
Orla originally started producing hand poured pillar candles in the 1990’s after learning her candle-making skills in the U.S. She was taught the intricacies of how to skillfully produce the finest handmade candles by a master chandler, who gave her the wisdom and knowledge about blending waxes and mixing essentials oils. She hosted ‘Candle Parties’ at home and invited her friends and family to sample and buy the best of what she produced. Very soon her candles had caught the attention of the top retailers in Ireland, and then London. From then on, the products evolved into natural wax scented candles and Max Benjamin was born.
