Welcome As we begin a new year, I am delighted to share with you another dynamic list of training opportunities and events happening over the coming months. At CWR, we are eager to see people encounter God and develop their relationship with Him – so whatever your background or level of Christian experience, I hope that you will find something in this brochure that will equip you in your walk of faith. Understanding who we are in God transforms how we live out the rest of our lives, and getting into His Word is a great place to start. In May, Philip Greenslade will be starting a seven-day course called Living Out of God’s Story (page 6), helping us to understand the narrative that weaves through the Bible, and how we can play our part in the story still unfolding. As with all of our courses, please do go to our website for more information. We also have a variety of courses for life and discipleship, for women, and for those wishing to train in Christian counselling (page 18) – so come and enjoy great teaching in beautiful surroundings, and make 2017 a memorable year for you and your walk with God.

BIBLE DISCOVERY
Bible Discovery Our Bible Discovery courses are an invaluable opportunity to dig deeper into the Bible and grasp more of the wonder of God’s story. Each course offers in-depth teaching, worship, fellowship and time for personal reflection in peaceful surroundings.
Bible Discovery Course Leaders Philip Greenslade has worked with CWR since 1991 in the areas of biblical studies, pastoral care and leadership. With his passion for teaching God’s Word, he offers a refreshing and challenging perspective for all those who attend his courses. Andy Peck is a writer and Bible teacher who has served as a course leader with CWR since 2006. He brings a great depth of knowledge to his courses in a brilliantly accessible way.
Bible Discovery Weekend: Behold the Man
New
Led by Philip Greenslade Come and discover more of the Person of Jesus – and who He is in His humanity. Jesus fully shares our ‘flesh and blood’ experience – He feels what we feel, fights our battles, and He relies on the Holy Spirit and prayer. He fully understands us because He has lived out life from the ‘inside’. So why did Jesus become human? Why did He have to die and rise again? Spend a weekend at Waverley Abbey House exploring the answers to some of these questions, and refresh your love for Jesus.
The Life and Times of Jesus Led by Andy Peck
This insightful course brings Jesus’ three years of ministry to life in regard to chronology, local geography and its place within the Bible’s overall narrative. Come and consider the full story of how Jesus lived, and be better prepared to effectively share His message today. Thurs 16 March Waverley Abbey House £38.50 including lunch (9.30am – 4pm)

Through biblically based teaching, discover ways of cultivating an effective prayer life, keeping our faith alive through difficult circumstances, helping others and overcoming doubt and fear.
Understanding Yourself, Understanding Others The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® is an effective tool for exploring our preferences and differences to help develop greater awareness and appreciation of our own and others’ God-created uniqueness.
