1.

Overall Job Purpose;  To direct, develop and manage all aspects of the sale of CWR’s Resources  To line manage sales admin personnel and have oversight of sales related systems o

Take overall responsibility for the sale of CWR resources to; 

All Channels - UK Trade, International, Churches and Direct

 To manage all product sales activities, including; o

Co-ordinate all sales ensuring that deadlines and budgets are met

o

Manage the external commissioned Sales Agents, including the setting and monitoring of both team and individual sales targets (non-dated product only)

o Administer and liaise with the National Distributor network and overseas agents in the developed and developing countries

Advise colleagues on sales trends and customer preferences for various channels

o

Attend major exhibitions and events (i.e. CRE etc), as and when required

o

Pursue sales opportunities with various third parties and Para-church groups

Key Tasks (General)  Oversight and management of sales forecasts and annual departmental budgets  Liaise with Communications Dept re. strategies / promotions to achieve sales objectives  Assist with planning and developing new products inc. attendance at in-house meetings  Provide sales and product expertise to senior colleagues, as required  Devise special product offers and supporting promotional activity  Take line management responsibility for sales department staff  Develop team members to improve efficiency and working practices

Key Tasks (UK)  Visit key customers and maximise sales of CWR resources to the UK retail trade  Maintain day-to-day contact with our team of contracted sales representatives  Organise and participate in two in-house sales conferences per year  Write a monthly email letter to the Trade  Establish relationships with key Churches to maximise the sale of resources

Key Tasks (International)  Communicate with National Distributors to ensure that they are well informed with appropriate product information  Encourage sales via the National Distributors using promotional offers, relevant point-ofsale materials and joint publicity opportunities  Liaise with the Production Department regarding requirements for the marketing of publications by National Distributors  Provide information for inclusion in the International editions of dated publications and advise on local pricing issues  Co-ordinate International orders to coincide with shipping dates for dated materials  Plus any other reasonable tasks that may be requested by your line manager or as required by the needs of the business

Standards by which performance may be measured;  Achievement of sales forecasts for all channels as per agreed annual budgets  Achievement of monthly and year-end financial results within the pre-agreed budget  Efficient operation of the overall activity of the sales department  Efficient oversight of the National Distributor network, major book chains and international bulk agents  Ensuring the performance of the UK sales agents within their agreed targets  Delivery on time of projects, within any pre-determined budget
