ÝSMAÝL KARAYAKUPOGLU: My works display various subjects and topics. The topic of estrangement is constantly on my mind: e.g. estrangement of mankind and its tracks. These ideas often combine with the depiction of space.

CYBEREmpathy ISSUE 4/2013. Contemporary Art in Public Space Birgit Mรถller-Klimek, ICA: Report on the 7th international contemporary art ROBERT SZITTAY (*1972, Bratislava) deals with figurative sculpture based on expressive understanding of the human body and its final expression. His artistic work is focused on human figure in the context of European tradition of figurative art. He also accepts a modern sculpture and takes an interest in contemporary art.He graduated sculpture at Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. He also studied at Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and spent two study stays in Cite des Arts in Paris. Sculptures are created by assemblage of the different elements of human body and reflect anatomic details. He wants to show a man with his emotions and the situation in which he live. In his work we can see a portrait depiction as well. Some of the objects and reliefs are colored reflecting the meaning and expression. His latest work experiments with the theme of the fingers and hands which are enlarged and assembled. He uses different materials in which the sculptures are modelled: plaster, clay, bee wax, resin, bronze and tin. Another motifs in his work are: light and dark side of the life, questions of faith, eternal life and at the same time of biological needs. The objects are depicted by modelling from smooth to textured figures, which are modelled with the technique "non-finito". Recently, he is working on enlargement of his own sculptures which look different in bigger dimesions and may have different expression.
