where we are, where we are going
New for 2013, we are proud to announce that Imagine is now part of The Pryde Group. Neil Pryde, founder of The Pryde Group, has been designing, manufacturing and distributing the best water sports
equipment and leading brands since 1970. This relationship has allowed Imagine to invest heavily into R&D and equipment tooling so we can create the best products available. We are also proud to announce that Dave Kalama has joined Imagine as our VP of Design & Innovation. He will be instrumental in shaping the future of our boards and helping to grow and spread the stoke of SUP. Looking forward, Imagine will continue to bring groundbreaking designs and construction techniques to the world of Stand Up Paddle Surfing. We see a bright future ahead for the sport and lifestyle of SUP. Come join us for the ride.
IMAGINE 2013
Innovative designs and superior construction techniques have always been the inspiration and driving force behind Imagine. We take a different view on board design and continually look for better ways to make products. Having our design office in Southern California truly allows us to live the lifestyle and gives us the perfect playground to design, test, and launch innovative products. Much to the dismay of the bean counters back at HQ, when the Surf is pumping or the river is calling, the phone in the office will probably go to voice mail. We all surf, we all paddle, and we are all stoked to be apart of this amazing ride.

“It is important to me to team up with a company that shares my philosophy, ethics, and authenticity...”
Research & Development All Imagine boards are designed with a careful analysis of the shape-to-water interaction. Next, prototypes are tested by our team riders and then by the average family rider. This process provides comprehensive feedback and helps us perfect the shapes – plus it’s a lot of fun. Construction techniques, whether they are carbon over foam or blow molded polyethylene, are carefully considered for the intended use of the board. Final boards are rigorously tested before we make production boards. So no matter what Imagine board you choose, you can always be assured that you’re getting the very best for your paddling or surfing enjoyment.
Blow Molded Plastic
Composite Construction
Dave Kalama
Dave Kalama Dave Kalama, along with friend and fellow waterman Laird Hamilton, re-introduced the ancient Hawaiian sport of stand up paddling to the public in the mid-1990s. Dave is a Hawaiian waterman who comes from a lineage of surfing champions. He began as a world champion windsurfer and has evolved into one of the premiere big-wave riders of our time. He is also one of the pioneers of tow-in surfing and, most recently, stand up paddle surfing and racing. In 2005, Dave launched KALAMA KAMPS, a customized one-on-one training program that embodies his training regimen. “It’s a way for people to experience an authentic waterman’s lifestyle,” Kalama said.
Dave also shares content on his blog, writing A Waterman’s Journal: Adventures in Stand Up Paddling, Surfing, Ocean Voyaging, and Life. Since his early days in big wave surfing, windsurfing and especially in stand up paddling, Dave has constantly worked with the top shapers in the world to design the highest performance and quality boards. Dave has years of experience designing and shaping his own boards and is excited to expand it into a full line at Imagine.
For our line of 2013 epoxy boards, Imagine will be working with the industry’s proven manufacturing leader in composite construction. We have invested countless amounts of time and energy working with a dedicated quality control and production team to ensure we bring the best possible boards to market. We are super proud to announce that will be offering wood sandwich and AST construction. Every Imagine epoxy SUP is made to the most exacting standards so you always get the very best.
Inflatable Construction New for 2013 is our introduction of inflatable boards. Once again, we have chosen to work with the best manufacturer of inflatable boards in the industry. This new construction opens up the possibilities for more water time in more unique locations. Imagine the possibilities of taking a board stashed in a backpack to locations previously out of reach.
Research & Development
Blow molding is a process that allows us to make an extremely strong and inexpensive board. It is also one that is rarely used due to the investment required for molds and machinery. At Imagine, it is ideal for our smaller recreational boards because we can produce a board that truly requires minimal maintenance – and that you never have to worry about damaging. Bash them on the rocks, drag them across the gravel, run raging rivers, or simply have them on and off your yacht all day long. Nothing will affect these amazing boards. This construction technique also allows for accessories so you can get the most out of your day on the water.

Light The Fuse & Go
PADDLE MACHINE
Taking the 2012 Sprinter and updating the wave piercing nose to the latest most efficient hydrodynamic bow design, Imagine once again Rockets to the front of the pack. The new bow silently pierces through the water, creating the least amount of resistance between the water and the board. Flatwater, chop, slop – the Rocket blasts through it all.
If you have been looking for a flatwater board that’s fast and stable, the Mission is for you. With a displacement hull and plum bow for efficient paddling, a stable design, and a flat comfortable standing deck, the Mission is perfect for your everyday paddle and is no slouch for that weekend race you’ve been training for.
The harder you pull on your paddle, the faster you go. And when you are recovering to pull again, the board keeps going, and going and going. What does all this mean for you? It means SPEED. Pick up a Rocket and leave the competition behind.
Recreational racing, workouts, fun family paddles, long adventures or just cruising at sunset the Mission is the ultimate flatwater machine.

The Do Everything Machine
LIGHT, FUN & CHIC
This is a board for your core workouts, to entertain the family and for the weekend adventure. A clean sweeping V-bow cuts effortlessly through the water, before running into the subtle concave center section and shallow V tail.
Designed for women, the Siren is at home in both flat water and in the surf. The V nose has an efficient narrow displacement profile so it cuts effectively through the water giving you great glide.
If you’re the kind of paddler who wants to train on flat water, but still hit up and surf ocean waves when you can, then your prayers have been answered. The outline of the tail combined with the rocker make this board surf like a charm for its size.
A narrow bow section makes it easier to get the paddle in the water for that perfect stroke. The classic rounded pin tail and bottom concave makes this board surf like a pro.
While it can never compare to a dedicated surf shape, or to a speeding flatwater machine, this compromise is so effective that it remains our best-selling board.
Easy around harbors, down rivers and across lakes, and ready for the surf whenever you are. Intec wood sandwich construction.

EXHILARATING PADDLING
THE SWISS ARMY KNIFE
It’s rewarding when every time you take a stroke, you feel the board accelerate. The Speeder is our fastest sub-race class design, made using blow molded polyethylene. The V displacement bow and rounded narrow hull cut smoothly through the water while the surf tail allows you to surf ocean swells or downwind bumps.
Recreational Stand Up Paddling is never as varied and fun as it is with the Wizard.
A center hatch provides gear storage, and our built-in seat back and footrests means it can be paddled like a kayak. The Speeder is super tough, so don’t be afraid to treat it rough. It can take it.
From simple evening paddles after work, to all day fishing trips, to paddles down the coast, exploring bays and estuaries, this SUP has you covered. Two hatches for storage, deck bungees, cargo bay and an incredible flip up seat make this the most versatile board on the market. Made from blow molded polyethylene this board is strong to stand up to every day use and abuse.

STABLE, FUN All Around
BEST OF BOTH WORLDS
Want an all around, do anything board? Then the Carve is your board. Lakes, rivers, oceans, the Carve is at home in all waters. Four sizes to choose from depending on your needs and conditions. Load up the 11’6” with the dog and the kids and go for a spin on the lake. Take any of the sizes into the waves and carve the day away. Easy to ride, easy to paddle, easy to enjoy.
Why can’t you have the best of both worlds? A board that has all the paddle-in speed and stability of a longboard, with the looseness of a shortboard outline. A board that nose rides like a champ, and can do radical bottom turns and lip smashes. Fast, loose and exciting, every wave is a delight as you truly mix up your surfing as you go.
All sizes come with a windsurfing mast base attachment for the perfect do everything board.
The P-Nut sure is strange looking, but everyone who surfs it comes in with a beaming grin.

SIMPLE & VERSATILE
SOMETIMES SHORTER IS BETTER
The Surfer is the ultimate board for anyone just getting into stand up paddling. Wide, stable and easy, it will get you out on the water and feeling comfortable faster than any other board. The ultimate do anything board – lakes, rivers, oceans – the Surfer is at home in all waters. Made from blow molded polyethylene this is one tough and durable board. Lend it to a friend or let the kids and their friends have free reign without worrying about each scratch and ding.
Why should you have to give up ease and stability just because you want a shorter board? You don’t! Wide and stable, this board makes it possible to paddle out through the most demanding breaks, yet once on the waves its shortened length helps you throw it around like you’re on a performance board. A perfect blend, this is what makes the San-O such a success. Fluxcore wood sandwich construction. Available in 3 colors: Blue, Green, and Orange.

SMOOTH & FLOWING
SHORT BOARD AGGRESSIVE SURFING
The Fluid is one of our new Dave Kalama performance designs. If you prefer high performance surfing with a longboard style feel and like a board that rolls from rail to rail, then sets up for powerful bottom turns, top turns, and cutbacks, then you will love the Fluid. Just the right amount of rocker, outline and volume distribution. Amazingly flowing, forgiving, fun, and insanely responsive. The ultimate wave machine for all types of surf. Kalama Performance in every design detail.
The Snap is a Dave Kalama performance design. Working with short board surfers who wanted the same performance from their SUP as they got from their short boards, Dave has come up with a radical wave killer. Smack the lip, spray your buddies, and then do it again and again. Super drive, amazing speed and aggressive off the back foot turns. The Snap is the answer for the more aggressive surfer looking for a quick and loose, radical wave SUP. Kalama Performance in every design detail.

Performance River Running
RADICAL RIVER RUNNER
This is the next generation of radical whitewater SUP design. While it does not offer the initial stability and ease of the Rapidfire, the Spitfire will allow you to take your whitewater SUP to a whole new level. The increased maneuverability, responsiveness and volume of this design means you can run harder rapids with more precision.
As soon as people moved inland with SUP, they started to explore rivers. Today this is an exciting alternative to whitewater kayaking, and that’s why we created the Rapidfire.
If you’re ready to step it up, then this is the board. Carbon kevlar construction.
A radical departure from surf shapes, it’s optimized to make class 2 whitewater easy, and class 5 possible. The generous rocker, and high volume center help you run through almost anything – even waterfalls and slides. This is a super tough board designed to take the abuse of the river environment. Think toughness of a creek boat.

Board In A Backpack We are pretty pumped up about our new Compressor line of inflatable SUP’s. Super durable, super light, super easy to store and travel with. When one thinks about the convenience an inflatable board offers, the obvious benefits would be for those living in apartments or yachts where space is at a premium, or folks wanting to worry about bashing their boards into rocks when running rivers. But we also envision the Compressor range opening up your water time to 365 days a year. Pack your gear and hike up to an alpine lake. Throw one in the back of a two seater plane and go explore that outer island. Check a couple in on the jumbo jet on your next business trip. Hello more water time, goodbye standing next to that pristine river wishing you could have brought your SUP.

Accessories
For 2013 we’ve focused on two paddle constructions. Carbon shaft and glass blade – these are a great value, stuffing tons of performance in a lightweight package. Aluminum shaft and plastic blade – these are fantastic, durable entry level paddles. All are adjustable so you can use them for the whole family.

HARBOR
FINS
For 2013 we have introduced the new Harbor paddle. We have integrated rake so it looks and paddles like a more traditional SUP paddle. The new Harbor is ideal for recreational users looking for a tough affordable paddle. Adjustable in length, it also comes with an extra blade for use with our flip up seats.
We have a range of center fins for all of our boards that have our easy snap-in, tool-free system. All our composite boards come standard with FCS side fins and one of our snap-in center fins.

Transport Wheels
WHEELIE
DUELIE
This clever little wheel snaps in and out of any longboard finbox in a second, so you can transport any SUP to and from the water effortlessly.
The Duelie is the bigger more stable version of the Wheelie. The wider footprint makes the board more stable when pulling it over uneven terrain.

OCEAN
FOIL
Our Ocean paddles offer the best of all worlds. A traditional raked blade that’s strong and light, yet inexpensive. Adjustable in length in just seconds, the same paddle can be used for surfing or fitness training and racing. Like all our adjustable paddles, it comes with an extra blade so the T Grip can be removed and it can be used like a kayak paddle. The Ocean is available in 1 piece or 3 piece. The three piece is great to pack in with the Compressor board for simple traveling
The Foil is designed for fitness training and racing. The spoon blade design grabs more water with a smaller blade size, so you can have a higher stroke cadence while maintaining all the power of a larger blade. It’s adjustable in length so you can lengthen it for sprint paddling or shorten it for distance paddling in an instant. And it comes with an extra blade for use with our flip up seats.
WAIST LEASH
SURF LEASH
Rivers are strewn with trees, rocks and other obstacles – this is why we developed the quick release waist leash that you can reach to release no matter what’s going on. Coiled so it stays out of the water, with a dual attachment system of waist belt or life jacket clip, and only 4mm so it’ll snap under minimal pressure when needed. This leash also works great for racing. One size fits all.
Everyone wipes out no matter how good you are. In fact, if you’re not wiping out, you’re not surfing hard enough. We made a strong, comfortable leash so you can take spectacular wipeouts all day long. Thick padded ankle cuff, 7mm cord and wide rail saver will keep you and your board safe, no matter how hard you bail! 7” and 10” lengths. 6mm cord.
