Decorated Coaching Staff Jay Ronayne has coached the Cyclones since 2007 and led two Big 12 Gymnasts of the Year, a pair of league newcomers of the year and five conference champions. Assistant coach Kristen Maloney was a 2000 USA Olympic team member and won five national titles during her collegiate career at UCLA. Assistant Katie Minasola was a 1996 USA Olympic team alternate and school-record holder at both UMass and Central Michigan.

Outside-TheGym Success The team won the 2012 Cyclone Challenge Cup, an honor that goes to the Iowa State team that tallied the most points through individual and team participation in Iowa State Student-Athlete programming. Since Jay Ronayne became head coach the Cyclones have had 43 Academic All-Big 12 recipients.
