HELO! SHWD DYCH CHI?

Staff at Monmouthshire Housing Tai Sir Fynwy have been learning Welsh since September 2022. The face to face class is held at the Mamhilad Headquarters, Monmouthshire every Tuesday between 10-12 and their tutor John Woods is just ‘thrilled’ with their progress so far!

The Entry level 1 learners, a group of 14 were given the opportunity to learn Welsh on this tailored course within the workplace, allowing staff to develop their language skills and increase their confidence whilst using the language with other staff and tenants.

The group have been set an additional weekly task by their tutor, to read a chapter of ‘Am Ddiwrnod’, a novel for Welsh learners from the Amdani Series — and so far this has been a popular supplement to their weekly lessons. And keen to continue supporting their staff on their learning journey, Monmouthshire Housing also funded the cost of the books.

Reading helps develop language fluency and enhances language skills and is a great way to introduce new words and expand vocabulary and these short stories for learners not only keep you entertained but they help the learner reach their target language faster!

Mae staff Tai Sir Fynwy wedi bod yn dysgu Cymraeg ers Medi 2022. Cynhelir y dosbarth wyneb yn wyneb ym Mhencadlys Mamheilad, Sir Fynwy bob dydd Mawrth rhwng 10-12 ac mae eu tiwtor, John Woods wrth eu bodd gyda'u cynnydd!

Mynediad 1, gr p o 14 ddysgu'r Gymraeg ar y cwrs sydd wedi'i deilwra ar gyfer y gweithle ac yn caniatáu i staff ddatblygu eu sgiliau iaith a chynyddu eu hyder wrth ddefnyddio'r iaith gyda staff a thenantiaid eraill.

Mae'r gr p wedi cael eu gosod yn dasg wythnosol ychwanegol gan eu tiwtor, i ddarllen pennod o 'Am Ddiwrnod', nofel ar gyfer dysgwyr

Cymraeg o’r Gyfres Amdani — a hyd yma bu hyn yn atodiad poblogaidd i'w gwersi wythnosol. Ac yn awyddus i barhau i gefnogi eu staff ar eu taith ddysgu, roedd Tai Sir Fynwy hefyd yn talu cost y llyfrau.

Mae darllen yn helpu i ddatblygu rhuglder iaith ac yn gwella sgiliau iaith ac yn ffordd wych o gyflwyno geiriau newydd ac ehangu geirfa ac mae'r straeon byrion hyn i ddysgwyr nid yn unig yn eich cadw'n ddiddig ond maent yn helpu'r dysgwr i gyrraedd ei iaith darged yn gyflymach!
