EAST HAMPTON BUNGALOW LIFE OUT EAST Founded in 1684, East Hampton, NY is a village of Suffolk County located on the southern shore of Long Island. It is commonly known as one of the top locations for upscale secondary vacation homes. Out of all the towns and villages that make up the Hamptons, many New Yorkers consider East Hampton the heart of the Hamptons. Housing some of the oldest homes, they are also the most beautiful and luxurious. The Hamptons offer the perfect mix of oceanside local, rural living, historic New England charm, and exclusive privacy, all within driving distance of New York City. The area was found-ed as a summer colony to provide an escape from the hustle of daily life, and centuries later, it has maintained that same purpose. In the village of East Hamptons, the locals and summer visitors love the luxury shopping, delicious restaurants, and the overall atmosphere of a quaint lively beach town.
THE McALLISTER’S Witney and Carson are looking to update and renovate their secondary home. To cater to both a small amount of users and other guests when desired to entertain, the McAllister's want an open concept layout. The overall feeling for The East Hampton Bungalow is to feel light. bright and airy, but still comforting and welcoming. Channeling their cozy Utah love and mixing it with coastal living relaxation is the ultimate end goal. As the designer, The McAllister's have hired me to take on this job, to make their East Hampton Bungalow the vacation home of their dreams, for both themselves and you.
| AIRBNB DESIGN
‘HAMPTONS STYLE’ The architecture and interior style of The East Hampton Bungalow will relate to the area's historic roots. Exterior architectural features will resemble a modern day colonial revival with the use of shingles, domi-nant roofs, and overall a quaint, luxurious upscale look. The interior design style will play off the exterior, with a focus on indoor outdoor living. The space will utilize light and neutral colors with oceanic hints to keep the concept of a flowing open layout. The reflecting warmth of natural light and beautiful views of the shore and will leave you dream-ing of this cozy oasis. The main concept and intent for The East Hampton Bungalow is to design a space for users that makes them feel at home, even if it is just for a short period of time. The purpose of the AirBnB is to be used as a get-away vacation spot, to relax and enjoy each other's company. As the designer, I intend to design a space for Witney and Carson that is invit-ing, promotes relaxation, and coastal comfort to escape the reality of their crazy everyday lives. It will be a challenge, but making the best use of the small square footage, and catering to the overall happiness of the McAllister's and potentially other renters is what is most important.

NEXT HUB The Next Hub University is the future of intellectual modern monuments. The location and site of the up and coming learning facility in the heart of Washington DC inspired the thought process and the final concept of the overall design. The surrounding historical architecture heavily influences and is reflected on the interiors in a modern contemporary way with the use of leading manufacturer furniture, Steelcase. The balance of historical and modern design creates a unique innovative experience on the interior, just as the structure from the exterior does itself. Next Hub University is a uniquely designed learning facility inspired by historical neoclassical architecture and modern design. Rethinking and cultivating neoclassical style with modern design elements exhibits a unique design.

HEALTH & WELLNESS CENTER The proposed mission for this assignment is to design a Health and Wellness Center for the Camp Dawson Army National Guard Military Base, located
in
Preston
County,
West
Virginia. The purpose for this new facility is to design a space for active military
members,
veterans,
and
family members to practice a healthier
and
holistic
approach
to
life.
Accompanying the existing services and facilities on the military base, the new Health and Wellness Center will focus on the physical, emotional, and mental needs to promote a positive, efficient recovery and achieve overall wellness in the mind, body and soul. Utilizing inspirations, precedents, and extensive research, I will design a Health and Wellness Center focusing primarily on the safety and welfare of the user. Applying appropriate codes and regulations throughout the facility, the concepts and standards of the WELL Build-ing Standards will be used to create a sustainable design, that is both beautiful and safe. As the designer, my goal is to create a ‘home’ for the military mem-bers, rather than a space. Through the perspectives of the military members and primary users, I want them to always feel welcome, comfortable and at ease. I want people to feel balanced, well and whole, again.

RAYCHEL WADE DESIGN
RAYCHEL WADE DESIGN MY STORY While attending High Point University, at the end of a very stressful sophomore year, I was determined to find an internship in the interior design industry to start to gain experience and build my resume. I simply started by researching on the internet, “best designers in New York City”. I personally reached out to a bunch, interviewed, and met with a few, and ended up landing a position with Raychel Wade Design. Instantly creating a close-knit connection, I began commuting and working in Manhattan, NY for the entire summer. A dream come true at the age of 18. I jumped right in, taking on roles for existing projects, large responsibilities, and so much more I never thought I would get to do in such a short time. Continuing my role remotely throughout the academic school years (junior and senior), and through the following summers, I am currently still working along aside Raychel Wade, titled as a Junior Interior Designer. Since the summer of 2019, I have grown so much as a designer, but also personally. These skills and opportunities of working right along side Senior Interior Designer, Raychel Wade, architects, contractors, clients, and those in and throughout the trade, they have shown and offered me the steps it takes to be a successful interior designer myself one day.
