Mentor : Albertus Sidharta, Ir., MSA Case : Simple Function Building This project’s function is as a boutique named The Flamingo Boutique. The concept of this project is to make a “combine with nature” building. Its name, is taken from the amingo bird which is has a feminime, soft, and elegant. So this building will be dominated with the color of violet and cream as the amingo has.

Site Zoning The given site is a land of 300 sqm which has a slope. Site processing is done by cut and ď€ ll system and also spit level on the sloping parts of the site, and also some columns are used for the stage structure.

Eco-Indonesian Culture A concept that retains ecological value and implements the study of local wisdom that still relevant nowadays. Some forms of the building parts imitate the typical Indonesian culture such as gunungan in Javanese puppet, roof of Traditional House of Minangkabau, Paduraksa Gate, roof of Joglo Traditional House and the shape of the Bentar Temple in Bali.

The material in the building interior is selected using granite ooring, white walls and ceiling, and some wood accents on columns or other elements. The reason for this election is to create a formal impression remembering the building’s background is on educational, but still give warm impression.
/THE PATIO MALL/ Architecture Studio 5 Academic Work 2015 Mentor : BPR. Gandhi, Ir., MSA Case : High-Rise Public Building S. Parman Street, Semarang, Indonesia The Patio Mall is a shopping center located in Semarang. As the name implies, this mall will be designed by giving a similar image to the name of the mall itself. The image will be developed into the addition of indoor garden design on the building and also the design of this building that is semi outdoor and friendly to the surrounding environment.

This section is an open plaza area used for the visitors to walk casually and enjoy the outdoor environment of the building. Open air plaza is designed at the front of the building and behind the building.

b) 5 FLOORS MASS In this area the number of floors of buildings is as much as 5 floors with different functions each floor. On the top floor is designed outdoor foodcourt and outdoor gym center so that visitors can access the outside of the building.

CORE Core area consist of emergency stairs, and visitor elevators are continuous from the ground floor to the 5th floor where the functions and properties of the 5 floors are still very public compared to the more private floor functionality such as office and ballroom.
d) CORE
This area is the core area of the building which consists of emergency stairs, visitor lift, and also the freight elevator. Core buildings enclosed in massive concrete walls to reinforce that building continuously from ground floor to rooftop.
e) ATRIUM AREA
Plan Concept
This area is used as an atrium on the ground floor and providing voids on the floors above it to maximize the function of the mall building and as the building's vertical respiration.

In this area, there are two floors of building floor. This area functioned as semi-open public areas of buildings that will be shown with opened design such as the use of wall materials and giving roof garden on the upper floors.

A circular ramp is used to reach the car park area inside the rear building.

SUPERMARKET Supermarket is located on the 1st and 2nd floor to prioritize the effectiveness of activities and prioritized on locations that facilitate the process of loading goods in large quantities and routine.
CINEMA Placed on the 3rd and 4th floor. The floor above the cinema room is left empty (plate no) so the studio space avoid the existence of the column. Interior studio space uses soundproof panel to avoid noise.
DEPARTMENT STORE Located on the 3rd and 4th floor of the back so as not crowded with supermarket visitors. Its placement is pay attention to the ease of loading a lot of goods and routine but not as routine as supermarket.
HOME FURNISHING & ELECTRONIC CENTER The home-furnishing and electronic center area is located on the ground floor up to the 3rd floor. The placement takes into account the flexibility and ease of loading large-size items.

“YOUTH MALL” Mall as a gathering place should be a Place Making for the environment, especially among young people, where one of the target visitors mall is a young man who likes to spend time in the mall to perform various activities such as holding events and shopping or just eating, fitness, or watching the cinema.

“FAMILY LEISURE” As a means of entertainment and family recreation, the functions contained in the mall should be able to provide family needs and are recreational. Family needs will be much greater than the needs of youth so it needs to be placed functions such as supermarkets and department stores, as well as home furnishing center.

FOOD COURT Located on the 5th floor. Divided into 2; indoor and outdoor. The outdoor one is located above the cinema area with an opened atmosphere.

AN ISOLATED BOX The impression of ‘mall is a closed box’ that is isolated from the outside environment to be avoided by applying the concept of urban living concept or living concept that embraces the progress of modern civilization in urban areas, but still remember the importance of health factors and the sustainability of the surrounding natural environment.

/INTERNATIONAL INDOOR SWIMMING POOL/ Architecture Studio 6 Academic Work 2016 Mentor : Antonius Ardiyanto, Ir., MT Case : Wide-Span Building Marina Raya Street, Semarang, Indonesia This project is an international level swimming facility that used for inter-state races that also features a recreational pool. On this project, students are taught to combine 3 structures on a wide-span system. The structure used is space frame, shell structure, and membran-cable structure.

Form Study The concept for this project is the “ocean waves”. The reason for the selection of waves as the main concept of the project is still related to the project title, "Swimming Pool", where the swimming pool is identical with water.

Base of site’s division is to separate the boys dorm from the girls dorm. The school building is placed in the middle as a meeting point and remember its main function. The site’s front side is used as vehicle zone, used as parking space, while the site’s back site is as service zone.
