The display will include manuscripts and photographs of material from the archive that shows his friendship with poets T.S. Eliot and Ezra Pound, his meeting with Rabindranath Tagore, and his working friendship with Benjamin Britten. The Ronald Duncan Literary Foundation (RDLF) is a charity that supports literary and cultural events in the South West.

Bike Shed Theatre 7.30pm £3 Grand Bard of Exeter Jackie Juno and Bard of Exeter ‘The’ Jon Freeman host the third Exeter Poetry Slam. 12 of the finest poetic performers in the South West go head-to-head in the 3rd installment of this annual competition. The prizes are a closely guarded secret (that means we haven’t quite decided yet) but they’ll definitely include a spot of mentoring and some free CDs from Gina Sherman of Apples and Snakes - the UK’s leading performance poetry organisation. Performance, content and audience reaction will be judged by Gina Sherman, Express and Echo Poetry Correspondent Morwenna Griffiths and last year’s slam winner Tim King. 12 contestants, 3 rounds, 1 winner.
