D-StructureSF 520Haight St. Over the last several years the Lower Haight neighborhood has become a staple in San Francisco/Bay Area Art & Fashion scene. We here at D-Structure not only work to continue the movement but to also go above and beyond the status quo while pushing to set the standard in artistic excellence. D-Structure is always on the look for hungry, fresh, new and upcoming artists .Our Art and Photo shows are the best time for us to really show and prove what we are about. Work hard, live hard and play harder. Since we hold ourselves to a high standard so do we also hold the artists we choose to work with us. We expect every artist who has a show with us to create an installation part of his or her show. The artists should take it upon themselves to transform our store into A vessel of their artistic vision. This way D-Structure transforms it space every 30 days in turn to reflect the monthly artist. But we recognize this standard cannot be met without hard work and proper planning. So with this forward thinking in mind, to make these shows happen we have to keep to a strict timeline. We expect the artists working with us on their show here to adhere to that timeline and proper steps. Step1: Download this packet and submit to us jpegs of your work or send us a link to an online portfolio. Step2: We will contact you to set up a meeting with us. We will need you to bring samples of your work in the form of photos, portfolio or an online site/portfolio that we can look while meeting with you. During this meeting we will discuss the proposed content/direction of your show, the month you will be showing and the date for the following meeting. Step3: This meeting you will bring your concept sketches for the walls and your installation pieces. We will also discuss your artwork for your flyers and online banners. Your flyer Graphics must be to the specs on our style sheet and turned in by two weeks before the opening date of the show preceding the artist own show. This way we have time to properly promote the show. Step4: The final meeting will be at least two weeks before your show. You will show us photos of your works for the show as well as finalized installation concepts and plans. Upon this sale percentages of your Artwork for the show will be discussed and you will sign our artist contract. Step5:You will start bringing in your art for the show the Monday preceding the Friday of your show. We begin take down of the prior show and install you’re the Wednesday night at 8pm two days before your show. This means you have 2 full nights in our shop to setup your show. We will have someone there to assist you in the installation process and Hanging of your artwork. One of us will either stay with you until you have finished your for the night or look you in if you feel you will be pulling a all nighter .We expect you to complete all your installation and hanging in those 2 nights so that the art will be up and ready Friday morning. Your labels and prices for your pieces will due in Friday morning as well. Your show will begin at 8pm Friday but expect you here at 7 incase of any last minute details.
