How’s it rollin’, Ballers? Welcome to the first newsletter of the term! I can’t believe we’re already nearly a month into the 2023-2024 term. My name is Jamie Stukas and I have the tremendous honor to serve YOU as your Lieutenant Governor for the 2023-2024 term. I attend Early College and I’m going to be a senior next year! My Key Club journey started my Sophomore year and since then I have found a second family in Key Club. A few things about me are:

1. I have 5 younger siblings, many of whom you might catch at a DCM or two.

2. I LOVE to cook and bake, so expect some potlucks this year!!!

3. I play baseball for Rodriguez High School and I’ve played since I was 5 years old.

I am looking forward to an amazing term with all of you filled with friends, leadership, and most importantly service.

Rollin’ with YOU,

2023-2024 Lieutenant Governor

District Convention 2023

District Convention 2023 was an overwhelming success! From bonding during region session with region 5, to electing the new District Executives, to moshing during the Governor’s Ball, this certainly was a DCON to remember. I could not be prouder to celebrate Division 8's accomplishments, including Diamond Distinction American Canyon and Region 9 winning the Spirit Stick at the Third General Session.

Early College Officer Dares

ECHS Key Club participated in Officer Dares, where club members or officers pay to give an officer a dare to celebrate the end of the 2022-2023 key club term and the start of 2023-2024 new board. It was on Wednesday, April 19th, in an ECHS classroom. Each kind of dare cost differently; $1 for a piece of ginger, wasabi, or a cup of lemonade, $3 for a pie, and $5 for an ice bucket.Guided by the key club officers, it lasted the entire lunch, roughly half an hour. Many dares were requested by club members, nearly every past officer and the new officer received at least one dare.

Shrestha Eggstravaganza:

At this event, Benicia Key Club encouraged children to make easter baskets for kids who were less fortunate. We also sold hot cocoa bombs and made $38 dollars in total!

DCON

At this event, CNH Key Club celebrated the success of our old term. We celebrated by having general sessions where we retired old officers and LTGs while also congratulating the new elects! This weekend many of our members attended and had a blast!

CHARITY SPOTLIGHT:

Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Programs

The mission of the CNH Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP) is to develop local projects which will reduce the number of children in our three-state District who are killed or injured by trauma, ensuring all children live happy, healthy and safe lives. Pediatric Trauma remains the leading cause of death and injury among children ages 14 and under in the United States and the PTP works to prevent pediatric trauma by providing community outreach, education and materials to children and families living in the communities we share
