"Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more" -H. Jackon Brown Jr.

Hello Division 8, Welcome to my second official newsletter! Sadly summer had to end

A word from the News Editor

eventually...but man am I excited for this new school year and for what we can acomplish this term! I started my senior year this year and I surely want to make the most of it (like many of you I'm sure). In this newsletter there are many community events that you can all participate in and some amazing schools in our division also did amazing things already (to be honest the DCM pages were my favorite out of this newsletter lol). I hope I can inspire you with my newsletters to want to go out and make our Division shine brighter than ever this year! I hope you all had an amazing first day of school and also that you all have an amazing school year! Let's try to spread the D8 spirit and make our clubs better than ever!

In service, Ilse Rojo d08.cnhkc.dne@gmail.com

American Canyon WALK FOR ANIMALS Fellow Key Clubbers got to help out at the Walk For Animals event hosted by the Napa Humane Society! We helped set up/clean up, ran booths located around the area, and even gathered contestants for the Costume and Trick Contests! We’re pleased to have helped the Humane Society with this event, and to have seen so many cute dogs!

RELAY FOR LIFE

KEY CLUB SUMMER SOCIAL

Key Clubbers gathered at the Relay for Life at Community Park 2! Together, we helped set up trash cans, canopies, and moved resources around! Afterward, we helped with registration for coming visitors and volunteers, which was a smooth change of pace from the aforementioned hustle and bustle.

AC Key Club held a Summer Social at AC Community Park 1 on Aug. 3, 2019! Together, we enjoyed a delicious BBQ accompanied by games such as badminton and croquet. We even had board games and cards to pass the time! There were many other people that came, which ranged from friends and family to even the mayor! Though most of us had to leave early, we still had lots of fun together!
