RECAP ON WHAT SPOS IS UNICEF OVERVIEW

Spotlight on Service is a program created by the CNH Service Projects Committee to promote and encourage service initiatives across the district by providing monthly guides which showcase a new topic each month that will provide service project tips and ideas. This program provides opportunity for clubs to showcase their service events at a district level and have a chance to earn district recognition!

PROJECT IDEAS

UNICEF was created in 1946 to bring emergency food and health care to children and mothers in countries devastated by World War II. Key Club and UNICEF have been partnering together for many causes, helping

many communities around the world. Helping save children, combating iodine deficiency worldwide and HIV

and AIDS in Kenya and Swaziland are just a few of the programs Key Club has supported. Key Club has been trick or treating for UNICEF since 1994, which has raised $7 million!

EVENT IDEAS Costume Party

Host a virtual or in-person costume party with your division/home club. You can play different games and even have a costume competition for merchandise. Have your trick or treat for UNICEF box ready for donations at these events to promote donations!

Trick or Treat for UNICEF

During Halloween, students can go around with small cardboard boxes asking for coins as donations.

SERVICE IDEAS Letter and Drawings for Children

Write letters or draw pictures for children in hospitals. Optionally, you can make them Halloween themed!

Educational Materials on UNICEF

Create educational pamphlets, guides, and posters about UNICEF! Distribute them to your local libraries, schools, and other public establishments; this brings awareness of UNICEF.

FUNDRAISING IDEAS Bingo Dates

Create a Bingo Dare sheet for members and officers to participate in! Pricing each dare by severity and craziness, it is a great incentive for entertainment among your division/club.

Sell candy apples by using the catalog from UNICEF and fundraise! 11
