Karoke DCM Anette Martinez | Colony This DCM took place at the Chino Community Building, on the 26th of February. On this night, all parts of Division 15 came together to sing their hearts out. With the attendance of members high and the overall feeling even higher, everyone who attended had a blast as they either hung out with friends, sang their favorite tune, or both!

FIRST BLOSSOMS OF THE NEW TERM Colony TH

E LTGs!!!

Anette Martinez | Colony Because of the incoming freshman orientation, COHS Key Club took part in the club rush offered at the assembly. During the club rush, current officers were able to explain and take questions regarding the club and its purpose to several students attending. After the assembly ended, the club was able to obtain a reasonable list of names of students who were interested in possibly joining the club.

Newly elected boards Chino Hills D15W belugas represent!

Montclair

Kellin Vu | Chino Hills This January DCM themed Winter Olympics was such a fun experience. I got to meet new people from other clubs and play fun planned games! I also got to bond more as we were sectioned off into teams. We got to play games such as balancing an egg on a spoon blindfolded and also trying to pick up fake money with a spatula. It was super exciting to do these “team-bonding” events and it’s always a pleasure to see what has been planned for

17

A WORD FROM BOARD ELECTS Jordan Alcasas | Montclair Being secretary elect, I’m looking forward to playing such an integral role to the organization of our key club and service opportunities. Having already been an officer last term, I have so much love for Key Club and I can’t wait to serve as the secretary. I ran because I love giving to others, and being secretary was a good way to do that. I can’t wait to provide opportunities for others to serve and to serve my club.

SECRETARY ELECT

Aditya Karki | Chino Hills Key club is a place of unity where people come together and serve for their community. Many activities may vary such as serving the homeless or setting up a fundraiser. But however, it is also a place of socializing as many friends are made the event they partake in. This results in a satisfying and enjoyable experience which is formed throughout the community of Key Club.

TECH EDITOR ELECT 18

PRESIDENT ELECT

Ciara Towns | Montclair Community service has been a consistent part of my life for as long as I can remember. Donating clothes, feeding the homeless, and working with Habitat for Humanity are just some of the community service moments that have fed my passion for giving back. When I decided to join Key Club sophomore year, I knew it was something I’d be pleased to involve myself in. Being Montclair Key Club’s president was something I’d never even thought about for myself. I couldn’t see myself being in such a position within our club. However, after some words of encouragement from the people closest to me and a little self assurance, I decided I’d at least try. After all, Key Club is a huge part of my life and holds a dear place in my heart. Our D15W LTG elect, Yahir Perez, was my main motivation and supporter throughout my experience running for president. He was actually the one who suggested I run in the first place. He must’ve known I was nervous and unsure so he gave me his support and some really helpful pointers. With his help, I was able to write my speech and deliver it with confidence. I’d say another reason I decided to run for president was our current president, Annie Ly. Annie has been an amazing president this term and I really admire the way they run our club. Annie was the reason I got to serve on the board this term. She reached out to me asking if I’d like to join the board as webmaster. I gained experience and learned so much more about our club because of this. I really look forward to the future of our club whether it’s upcoming events, fundraisers, or next year’s Fall Rally. I want our members to have fun, gain a sense of community, and really learn to love giving back. Not only do I want to live up to expectations I’ve set for myself as president, I’d like to succeed them. Having our members get everything they can out of our club is my main goal. I look forward to working with next term’s officers as we strive to make our club everything it can be. Lastly, I look forward to seeing new and returning faces as we begin a new year with Montclair Key Club.

DLT APPLICATIONS division leadership team

INTERESTED IN SERVING YOUR COMMUNITY AND BEING APART OF A TEAM AT THE DIVISION LEVEL? APPLY FOR DLT HERE: tinyurl.com/D15WDLT22 What’s Poppin’ Belugas! This is Yahir Perez proudly serving as your Lieutenant Governor for the 20222023 term. I am very excited to open up applications for this terms Division Leadership Team (DLT)! The Division Leadership Team is such a good opportunity to learn more about Key Club as you expand outside of your home club and get to know new people while serving your community! Serving on last terms DLT as service project coordinator helped me get out of my comfort zone, form new friendships, and played a KEY part in both my key club journey and personal life. Creating service events for the division ultimately made it evident how much I love key club and gave me the final push into running for LTG. The jobs you do on DLT help develop your time management and professional skills so I highly encourage everyone to apply! Lastly, whether you’re a club officer or not, don’t be scared to apply for DLT! As long as you’re passionate and dedicated, please apply! I wish you the best of luck and look forward to talking to you in your interview!
