Happy New Year Belugas!
Welcome to the new year! It has been such a pleasure to serve you in 2021, and I am so grateful for all your hard work and dedication. As we enter the new year, I know it can become hard to find your motivation and passion again after a long break. I hope you can find some service events you love and attend them with your friends and family. Always remember your dedication to serving your community and your love for the people around you. I can’t wait to see all of you at Conclave and District Convention! Remember to look out for information for both of these events, as they are some of our best. We will also be conducting DIvision Judging throughout this month, so make sure to get your portfolios ready! Yours in Service,
Ashley Ma Liutenant Govenor 2021-2022 4

3,2,1; It’s a New Year!
We all know that feeling in the beginning of the year where all the hopes and aspirations we had in the back of our head have a renewed energy. As with Key Club, the new year will be a new year for service, events, and community within the members. Let’s use this renewed spirit to actually follow through with those hobbies, skills, and goals! Maybe Key will give you more inspiration too? I know whenever I attend DCMs or service events I feel like I have gained a new perspective on life. This issue will look back at all we have accomplished as we also move forward to new successes! With Gratitude,
Katelynn Situ News Editor 2021-2022

On October 22nd, I had the opportunity to volunteer at Glenmeade Elementary’s Family Fun Night. It was an event where families could come hangout, play games, and eat food. I was in charge of the soccer game. This event was really fun, as it was my first in person volunteering event I had done in a really long time. I learned that kids just need a little encouragement, and it can boost their confidence. It was really fun seeing the kids so happy! 8
During the event, I got assigned to the zombie station which was so much more fun than I had originally expected. There, I helped collect the axes after the kids threw them and passed out some prizes. It was comforting being able to see children and their parents enjoying themselves with all the stations! Everyone had such a vibrant energy; it truly was heartening. I didn’t expect there to be as many people as there was that day but regardless, it was a nice event and I would love to help out with any others in the future :D.

Officers and members had attended the first spirit session for the 2021-2022 term. Pomona High members got the chance to communicate and meet people on the division board and members from other schools. We first learned the main cheer ¨How do You Feel?¨ with our division remix. We also learned other chants to prepare for Fall Rally. Our school was recognized for being the loudest when saying shouts by our LTG, Ashley Ma. The division board had then held about five different games of ¨soulmate¨. One of our members, Diana Rocha had played in the first round and found two different soulmates. The classic game always breaks the ice and has the crowd more energetic. All members are excited as we get ready for fall really and get ready to win the spirit stick.
Alexis Sabandal | Montclair My experience at D15W’s pre-fall rallies were wonderful preludes for FRS. The energy felt so great and I could just tell how hard our DLT worked for us. I’ve decided one of my favorite feelings is chanting with my div and building energy off of each other. Like many of us, this is my first Fall Rally and these events have really helped build my excitement.
