LTG’s Note What’s Poppin’ Belugas! It has been approximately one month since your installation, and you all have already accomplished so much. I hope you join us on May 22nd for the Rose River Memorial DCM, where you can participate in rosemaking, socialize with members, and study for finals. Most importantly, I hope you come to meet your new Division Leadership Team! Having known them for less than a month, I have to say that I am so excited to see what they do this year. Their passion and love for service is inspiring to see and I can't wait until you all get to meet them! Have a great month belugas and don't forget to keep SWIMMING INTO SERVICE! Yours in Service,

Ashley Ma Lieutenant Governor 2021-2022

A Letter From Your Editor Hi Friends!!! My name is Katelynn Situ and I’m so thankful and excited to be serving as your new Division News Editor! This is my first ever newsletter so thank you for reading this! My goal as a Division News Editor is to be able to capture Key Club’s unique moments (especially since everything is starting to reopen) and to recreate those feelings in this newsletter. I want to arouse pride and nostalgia and represent everything we love about Key Club. Of course, stick around for the updates, too! So, come along on this journey with me?... Also, it’s June! Which means finals, the homestretch of school, and summer! Good luck with everything and stay safe! With Gratitude,

Katelynn Situ News Editor 2021-2022

Earth Day Event Annie Huang| Colony High School Our event for April was about Earth day. We decided to have a can collection race where the money will be donated. Our April earth day was super fun! As a club, we ended up collecting over 160 bottles and cans. And with the money we got we decided to donate it to PTP. Since this was our first event, this also became our first face to face meeting. Our club officers had a great bonding experience during our first time meeting. I also found it was exciting to discuss everything the future had to hold for us as a club. As the term progresses, we hope to be able to hold more events such as this. I’m looking forward to the increase of club participation as the transition from completely virtual to inperson begins. Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast Annie Ly| Montclair High School After a long year in quarantine, we were finally able to go to our very first in-person service event! At Montclair’s annual Eggstravaganza Pancake (Drive-thru), we were able to help our Kiwanis sell, pack, and distribute the breakfast meals. While the service aspects of the event was fun, it was also a great opportunity to socialize with fellow members and Kiwanis after such a long time. We were able to do horrible renditions of the Hokey Pokey and Electric Slide, laugh together, and create lasting memories all the while helping out our community! It was such a fun experience and, even with its stipulations, really brought a sense of normalcy back into our lives after one hectic year. (photo submitted by Annie Ly)
