Happy March, Grizzlies!

I continue to feel bittersweet thinking about how this term is nearing to an end. All Officers and Members are working hard to finish off the term, and I thank every single one of you guys for continuing to remain passionate and active. This month is quite a busy month packed with service and events for you all to enjoy.

Firstly, I want to address that District Convention 2023 registration is going to be due soon! On March 3rd, the On-Time payment of $215 will be due. On March 7th, the Late payment of $255 will be due March 20th. If your club hasn’t already started the process, please contact your President and Advisor. There are also various service events that Kiwanis needs our help with, including the Chinese New Year Celebration set-up & clean-up, Kohl Education Crab Feed and the Victims of Violent Crimes Crab Feed. Sign-ups have already been released for these so make sure that you are bringing your friends along with you! They really need our assistance. Later in the month, we will be hosting a DCM which we hope will be an Olympics-themed DCM, so stay tuned for that information. We will also be celebrating the near-end of the term with a final Region event that will give you an opportunity to bond with other Cupcakes and also for new members to learn a bit more about Key Club.

Clubs are beginning to prepare elections for the next board of Officers that will take over. If you have any questions or need advice, don’t hesitate to reach out to me or your current Officers to get your questions answered. Succession is the KEY to the survival of our organization. Without YOU stepping up to the role to be a servant leader for your school and community, Key Club won’t be able to continue our impact on the world! I am very excited to see what more good our Division will be able to accomplish. At the core of it all, I value the connections that I’ve made with each and every one of you. I will always value the experiences and lessons I have learned as a Lieutenant Governor and it has been an absolute honor to be your Grizzly Mama Bear.

The Honey Points System is a Division-wide point system that incentivizes clubs to maintain their club’s activities in regards to service, fundraising, and Officers meeting Division deadlines! Each month, the Lt. Governor or Executive Assistant will calculate the points each club has earned based on a rubric.
