Dare to Dream As the world first populated country, though developing very fast in economic and business field, China still enjoy huge problems in education resulting in the imbalanced education resources distribution. Founded in 2008, Dare to Dream was initiated to improve the educational resources balance between rural areas and urban areas, aiming at providing opportunities for teenagers in rural middle schools to know the outer world better and be bold to chase their dreams, by hosting summer camps and winter camps with young people from all over the world. Dare to Dream is the largest national project of AIESEC in Mainland of China. In 2013-2014, 26 LCs hosted Dare to Dream summer camps or winter camps, with more than 840 trainees, impacting more than 9000 rural teenagers annually. EPs will design courses regarding cultural understanding, leadership empowerment, social issues, English study and self-discovery.
Dare to Dream It is the fourth time for AIESEC UNNC to host Dare to Dream. Each year, AIESEC UNNC Dare to Dream, which is the biggest projects in China, recruits more than 60 EPs from almost 30 countries, who use their talent to influence more than 1000 children in 3 cities and share their own great cultures with local citizens and other EPs. This year we aim to recruit 80 EPs to help the children be confident and brave to have their own ideas, to express themselves, to see how big the world is, to chase their dream. Meanwhile, we will provide EPs a platform to organize their own activities such as meaningful culture share like debate competitions (not just learn something by listening lectures) and teach students in their own creative way. We also will let EPs see both the prosperous and undeveloped sides of China by exploring along the south east coastal Chinese cities as well as countryside (from north to south). We are sure that after this project, EPs will know more about Chinese education, welfare and economy systems, and gain the amazing experience.
What did they say? Trainee from Serbia, NPS 1O “I knew that embarking on this trip will give me some knowledge about who i am, what am i capable of and how to improve myself, but I never knew that this would be such an emotional and lifechanging experience. We have an immense bond among us, EPs and OCs, but also with the kids we worked with, we stayed in touch with them ever since. Definitely this will bring me back to China once again, but moreover, this opened doors for me throughout the whole world. I've made so many friends that it will take me about two years to visit them all properly. Program's name was Dare to Dream 3.0, and sure when I got back home, it all seemed like dream. Best time of my life.” Trainee from Brazil, NPS 1O (in his Facebook) “Hi, Tero. I miss you very much. We have not contract for a long time. How is everything? Our summer holiday is coming soon. I think I will have a nice holiday. Guess what? I will come to Hong Kong! 海内存知己,天涯若比邻。(Ancient Chinese poems) 'Long distance separates no bosom friends.” As one of Tang poets said. One year, today. Thank you AIESEC Fortaleza, AIESEC UNNC, Mainland of China, Sucy Feng, DTD interns, Tero and every single student for one of the best experiences of my life.”
Buddy System There will be 14 OCs and they are also your buddies and they are all selected AIESECers with adequate trainings. Youth Hostel in Shanghai These three hostels are relatively cheap, in the city center and the transportation is very convenient. Please book the bed as soon as possible because these hostels are really popular. We have tried our best to choose the good hostels for you. If you book the beds from another hostel, it is not very convenient for us to pick you up at airport and then send to you the hostel because there are 80 EPs need to be picked up and need us (only 14 people) to guide them about the life in China. Here is a website that can help you to book the room. http://www.yhachina.com/d.php?hostID=2 You can also find other website as long as you can book the right hostels. It is OK to live in your friends’ home in Shanghai, but please make sure that your friends can help you with the roads, foods and other things in China, and do not be late for the activities that you need to participate. What’s more, you still need to meet us at the airport at first because we need to make sure your safety and information.

Job description Education Work 1.Teach students aged from 5 to 18 in different schools. Between the second and fourth week, interns will teach students in the famous local schools in and around Hangzhou. Most students are eager to study and broaden their horizon to chase better future. In the last 2 weeks, EP will teach students in villages. Most children do not often have the chance to communicate with foreigners, and some children even cannot get access to basic education because of impoverished family backgrounds. They lack the confidence to speak English and consequently some of them start to detest schoolwork, however, if they are not afraid of talking to a foreigner and face themselves bravely, they will be able to go the best school and change their life.
