To get into the holiday spirit, two members of Bonita Key Club worked with Apex, the Bonita Freshmen honors program, to organize a joint service event where volunteers assembled gift bags for Eggleston Youth Center’s foster children. In order to raise money to afford the gifts, jars were placed in different classrooms to collect donations. In total, over $300 was raised in the span of a couple weeks. The money was used to purchase gifts such as squishies, legos, toy cars, and more!

Volunteers spent three hours after school creating holiday cards and assembling the gift bags. Each gift bag contained a handmade card, three small gifts, one large gift, and a candy cane. We were able to make 91 bags in total- more than enough for
