MESSAGE FROM LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR

HELLOHUSKEYS It’s the beginning of our second quarter into the term! I am so happy to say that we have raised more than $300 for Project Eliminate and will be diving into our fundraising for Pediatric Trauma Prevention. Not only have we made a leap in fundraising, we have also begun serving as a division. Service events are being planned and coordinated by your Division Leadership Team, found by your Service Coordinator, Ana Xajil. Service and Fundraising, Spirit too! We have received our T-Shirt design which is now being touched up for approval and we will begin ordering as soon as possible. Shirt orders should be ready to be made in the first month of school (usually done around October). I hope you enjoy reading this issue and everything else that is being planned in the next few months! I personally thank you for all of your service and everything that you do. **Make sure you start collecting dues in your first few meetings! Serving Through The Winter Storms, Julieann Bui

PRESIDENT REPORTS

STARTING PLANNING YOUR DUES.

What is it? President Reports are a newly implemented way of communication between the President and Lieutenant Governor. This allows the Lieutenant Governor to understand how each home club is doing in the perspective of its leader. What does it contain? Reports contain an observation from the Lieutenant Governor and a series of questions that pertain from the observation. They will range from the strengths and weaknesses of the club to what events are being planned to what the Lieutenant Governor can do specifically to assist. Why are they important? The Lieutenant Governor serves as a liaison between the District and the Division, therefore they are responsible for assuring that the clubs that they serve are running smoothly following all Key Club procedures. Communication with your Lieutenant Governor is important. Presidents: You will receive reports on the 10th of every month. Please reply by the 14th of every month.

CONGRATULATIONS SARAH ANDRAK, GRAND TERRACE ON BECOMING THE NEW D36W SPIRIT COORDINATOR.

Do you want to be a part of the Division Leadership Team? Vacant Positions: Historian: Historians will be responsible for attending all division events due to the fact that visuals are necessary for the editor and district to receive. After every event, photos are due to Lt. Governor and Editor the following day by 6:00PM.

Division News Editor: The Division News Editor is responsible for updating the division and district electronically. Your responsibilities will be: -publish/submit a monthly newsletter -filter division submissions -record division submissions -submit articles/visuals on behalf of the division they serve -train Club Editors to produce/collect quality submissions Although these give the basics of a DNE, there will also be more to take care of in terms of implementing social networks to promote this division.
