DISTRICT Updates Governor’s Project

Recently, the governor's project has been announced. This is a service project theme for the district to focus on. The theme is: BEE Clean, CNH! This theme is centered around projects that benefit the environment. Your club can participate by starting a neighborhood/ community garden, or since our district mascot is the bee, you can start a "Save the Bees" campaign! Secretaries, BEE sure to report any projects that fit this theme on the MRF!

SPOTLIGHT ON SERVICE Relay For Life | Jurupa Hills Allan Aquino, President “Our club was delighted to have been a part of The Cancer's Society’s annual Relay for Life. We were proud to have helped, and to have extended our service to this organization which stands behind such an important cause. Members helped out by setting up, cheering on the performances, and even participating in the relay.” Key to College | Jurupa Hills Kaylyn Hoy, Lieutenant Governor Key to College is an annual event where UCR’s Circle K teaches Region 4’s Key Clubs more about College Life. Key Clubbers had the opportunity to tour the campus, attend workshops, and meet members from other divisions! Division 36 West had the most Key Clubbers in attendance, so thank you to all the Huskeys who came to this event! 6

eLEMONate | Jurupa Hills Brandon Aragon, Editor For Eliminate Week this year, our club set up multiple activities to spread awareness for MNT. We made various posters about MNT to make students in our campus more aware of this issue and at the same time we promoted our E-lemon-ATE MNT event. At this event, our club set up a table during our lunch where we challenged students to eat a lemon for MNT. We taught them about MNT, its effects, and how the eliminate project is taking tremendous steps to help eliminate this terrible illness all over the world. In the end, students signed our promotional poster, which we used to display our school wide awareness for MNT and the Eliminate Project. 7
