Hello Huskeys! My name is Anna Luu and I am your new Division Newsletter Editor for the 2014-15 term. This is my first newsletter, may you all enjoy. There is not much to say about me, except that I enjoy sleep, food and Key Club! Speaking of Key Club, Fall Rally was just upon us, hopefully you had fun and met a ton of new people! I had so much fun meeting you all and I’ve been hit with a serious case of Post Fall Rally Depression! May we get to know each other better this year. From your editor who doesn’t have a closing remark,

Anna Luu.

The ELIMINATE Project Maternal/Neonatal Tetanus claims the life of

1 baby every 9 minutes, just

$1.80

provides enough money to save

a mother and her babies from MNT. Babies suffer from painful convulsions and extreme sensitivity to light and touch. A mother cannot even hold her newborn baby because of this. This disease occurs in 30 countries, mostly in underdeveloped countries with poor healthcare, and this disease turns the joy of childbirth into a tragedy.

Dues Do not forget to pay your dues! Make sure they are received by December 1st at Key Club International in Indianapolis! Dues makes you an official Key Club International member along with your club in good standing status. Not paying puts your club begins the process of your club becoming nonexistent. Thank you to all the clubs that have already turned in/started the process of!

Unicef During the whole month of October, we participated in Trick or Treat for UNICEF. UNICEF, is an international organization that works with the United Nations countries, dedicated to providing health care, basic education, safe water, and sanitation to children in developing countries. As October came to a close, we raised funds to help with children in need, thank you for all your help and support!

Ptp Congratulations D36W for raising $1500.15 for PTP! Let’s keep going and see how far we get! What is it? Pediatric Trauma Program, also known as PTP, is a program developed by the Cal-Nev-Ha Kiwanis Foundation to develop projects that will reduce the number of children who are killed or injured by trauma.

What are our efforts doing? Providing grants to our partner hospitals, enabling them to create or expand community outreach programs, grants to Kiwanis and SLP clubs, enabling them to help more children in more communities, and you provide PTP safety items, which are available for purchase by our Kiwanis family at a subsidized cost.
