DCM recap On Friday, October 30th, Divsiion 36W and 36E gathered for a joint Awake-A-Thon DCM that lasted from 10:00 pm all the way to Halloween morning. We went from scavenger hunts and games of Among Us to impromptu concerts and faces full of flour!

In honor of Halloween we watched the creepy film Coraline and announced the winners of the Halloween Week that had occured the week leading up to the DCM. Overall it was a night of fun and laughs that served as the perfect ending to the month of October!

event recap On October 10, a total of 7 officers and members volunteered at Smiley Library in Redlands. The event started early in the morning at 7 A.M. in order to prepare for the Family Day Event, where books would be given to elementary students. Of course, COVID-19 social distancing guidelines were followed, and everyone was required to wear a mask. The actual Family Day Event had started at 8:30, in order to dispense books to families waiting in their cars, ready to drive by and pick them up. Stations were prepared, each with at least one Key Club member present, along with other volunteers who organized the event. Families were to drive by in their cars, with their trunks open, so that volunteers could place a bag inside to hold books. At the end of the line of tents, complimentary cookies and lemonade were handed out. The event proved to be successful, as we ran out of books and snacks to hand out by the time it was 10:00 A.M. Overall, the service was very heart-warming, being able to see happy children receive books Submitted By: Katrina Nguyen (Grand Terrace).

With the new term we held our first meeting on August 21st, although we only had 7 attendees we spread the word of our club and got more students to join. We will be holding our next meeting on October 14th, we hope to have more members attend and participate in wearing pink in support of Breast Cancer awareness month. We are currently looking for more ways to get our members involved and active. Submitted by: Lydia Guzman (Bloomington)
