event recap During the month of November, Cajon’s Key Club hosted a service event for local health care workers. This began on November 12th and was a 3 week service event to assist members and other individuals in gaining hours for service. The event was open to all students on our campus and we had achieved more than 10 individuals who had attended and participated...

...The service event was an event to create heart shaped cards to show our appreciation for health care workers working in the front lines during these times. The goal was to have each individual create at least two heartfelt cards that thanked health care workers and our president would collect them and eventually deliver them to a local hospital. During this 3 week service event, we discussed future plans and bonded over making thank you cards. Submitted By: Andy Dien (Editor from Cajon)

event recap This month we had the opportunity to fold paper cranes to donate to children’s hospitals. Members could gain a maximum of 2 hours for folding 10 cranes, and sending in pictures of their finished products. On December 20th, the division came together for a paper crane folding event, where members could learn how to fold cranes together. The Zoom lasted 2 hours, and was filled with holiday music and fun conversations...

...It was an opportunity for members to get closer with one another, while also completing some community service. The division had a goal of folding 1000 cranes, so each member attending the meeting was tasked to try to make 26 cranes. The following Monday, cranes were collected at Veterans Park, and taken to be donated. Hopefully this service event was able to put a smile on someone’s face! DCM recap

On Saturday, December 19th, 2020 Divisions 36 and 15 gathered for a joint winter-wonderland themed DCM. Members arrived and after Icebreakers were split into breakout rooms by Division, where each LTG held a DCM update for their respective Divisions. After individual DCM meetings were held, members returned to the main meeting shortly before splitting into groups to decorate gingerbread houses. Each of the 5 LTG's then presented the gingerbread houses to the meeting for "judging".

DCM recap In the week leading up to the DCM members also had the chance to participate in the Winter Wonderland DCM Bingo! Activities included DMing LTG Valeria your Holiday Wishlist and more! Winners of the bingo and the DCM scavenger hunt will be receiving holiday surprises so be on the lookout! After the fun group activities, members then had the option to join different breakout rooms for varying activities, from cooking to karaoke! Overall it was a night of fun and games, sugar and spice and everything nice!

CTC recap On December 13th, 2020 Divsions 10, 15, 35, 36, and 38 gathered for a Candidate Training Conference. Attendance was mandatory for those planning to run for LTG but was also encouraged for members and officers who wanted to learn more about Key Club.

During the event, attendees were sent to different breakout rooms where they were asked questions such as why they wanted to run for LTG. It was a fun and interesting experience to see people from different divisions. There were even love letters which were fun to hear and it was interesting to see LTGS from different divisions interact.
