RTC Recap

On September 29th, we joined together with our sister division for a Region Training Conference that lasted from 2:00-6:00 PM. Officers and members who attended were able to go through 3 general sessions in which several members of 36 West and East's DLT and LTG's Valeria and Chelsea presented. The conference also featured a Kahoot and Escape Room in which attendees could compete to gain merch prizes. A big thank you to everyone who attended, presented, and participated!

DCM recap

After the Regional Training Conference, Division 36 West took part in a monthly division conference meeting. During the meeting, attendees were updated on t-shirt contest winners, as well as the upcoming PTP fundraisers and the October DCM/movie night. Attendees were also reminded of monthly submissions, such as Articles and Visuals and the MRF, along with wrapping up what we had learned in the Regional Training Conference.

event recap The Officer Training Conference (OTC), took place on September 19 in a zoom call. Despite the pandemic, officers were able to get their training done through a virtual presentation, and also interact with others. The conference was split up into a total of five sessions, each going over important topics that officers must understand, and use effectively. Topics ranged from “BEEing a Leader,” to “Stress Management,” and also going over the duties of each officer. Lieutenant Governors Valeria Herrera and Chelsea Widjaja were tasked with presenting all of the information members needed, and did an excellent job. Submitted by: Katrina Nguyen (Editor from Grand Terrace)) We were able to have almost 90 members at our first meeting and more to come! "You guys were really fun and entertaining!" said Brooklyn Cota, a new member of key club. "I enjoyed it! I couldn't fully participate in Kahoot because of wifi issues but I still had fun at the meeting! Thanks guys!!" said Thoai, also a new member of Key Club. Submitted By: Deana Horta (Editor from Summit) With the new term we held our first meeting on August 21st, although we only had 7 attendees we spread the word of our club and got more students to join. We will be holding our next meeting on October 14th, we hope to have more members attend and participate in wearing pink in support of Breast Cancer awareness month. We are currently looking for more ways to get our members involved and active. Submitted by: Lydia Guzman (editor from Bloomington)
