Within this February Newsletter you will find info on upcoming Division and District events. DCON is coming up and we hope to see you all in attendance! Event Event Recap Recap In the month of February Kaiser Key Club had the opportunity to create Valentine’s Day Grams. These grams consisted of a small stuffed animal, a bag of assorted candy in addition to a customizable note, and a rose. Kaiser Key Club members could buy these grams for $5 dollars each and they were also the ones to decide the location their grams were to be transported to. The Key Club officials would then be the ones to transport the grams at the given location of the 14th of February 2021. After this event took place Key Club was able to raise $38. All the proceeds of that event went towards a great program known as the Pediatric Trauma Program. Donating to PTP helps create benefits for children in need since PTP’s mission is to reduce the number of children who have preventable injuries by providing grants to hospitals to buy new equipment, provide information on childhood trauma and to offer better training for doctors, nurses and first responders. Key Club members were happy of being able to be part of this opportunity and they look forward to engaging in more events to help serve their community. Event Event Recap Recap On Saturday, February 20th, members were invited to attend Conclave to vote for our new Lieutenant Governor. The event was hosted with Division 36 East and started at 9:30 a.m. A total of 3 candidates ran for the positions: 2 from D36E and 1 from D36W.
Some of her goals include raising $3,000 for PTP, have 100% member dues paid, increase member activity, and raise Huskey spirit! Hopefully as the new term starts, we can achieve those goals! Submitted by: Katrina Nguyen (Grand Terrace Key Club)
It was required that two delegates from each school attended the meeting to vote, while any other members could join to hear the candidate’s speeches. Congratulations to our new LTG, Frida Monreal, who gave a speech full of spirit and determination.
