In 2004 the Technical University of Dresden (Germany) has teamed up to run a two-year research-oriented, integrated and distributed European Master’s Programme in Computational Logic (EMCL) with partners from Austria (Technische Universität Wien), Italy (Free University of Bolzano-Bozen), Portugal (Universidade Nora de Lisboa) and Australia (National ICT Australia Limited). Since then more than 160 students from more than 40 different countries have studied in this masters programme. “Most of them are running for a PhD at research institutions all over the world. Our students’ excellent scientific training is appreciated world-wide”, says Professor Holldöbler from Dresden. Since 2011 the masters programme is supplemented by the Doctoral Programme EPCL which also focuses on research in computational logic. You will find a list of all Erasmus Mundus courses with German participation in this brochure. Check it out! 4

Testimonials
Ricardo Chávez from Mexico studied in Denmark, Germany and Portugal “Studying in Europe was a great experience for me, on both a personal and professional level. Europe not only possesses an excellent education and research infrastructure, but also an extraordinary diversity of cultures. Europe is therefore an ideal place to acquire a solid academic training, while being, at the same time, an agreeable place to live and to get to know different ways of thinking.“
Manal Kahi from Lebanon studied in Germany and Spain “My two years as an Erasmus Mundus scholar was an unforgettable life experience, where academic excellence was only a fraction of what the programme had to offer. The mobility options represented an exceptional addition, both challenging and exciting, and the multicultural environment made it all the more enriching as more than a dozen nationalities were grouped in every classroom, giving rise to a global network of lifetime friends. Not to forget the vibrant student life in Europe, where culture, fun and excellent, diverse education are all equally accessible. In total, an ideal preparation for a promising career in an ever changing world.“
