BIGB Man Behind DDF MAGAZINE
First of all I would like to congratulate you on this great achievement. You, alongside the rest of the DDF team, have been instrumental in putting together our very own magazine “THE SCENE.” How does it feel to see those efforts and ideas finally come to life? It is great to witness our brain child to develop into a real entity from just a vision, brings a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment, though a lot remains to be done. We hope for a continuous improvisation and a long lasting standing in the world of e-magazines. DaDesiForum is amongst the largest desi forums online. Thousands benefit from its resources everyday. When you guys started the forums did you ever anticipate this kind of success? We had our expectations high, but at the incipient stage of anything it is very difficult to visualise the exact growth upto a point. As the forum grew with the love and support of its members, we could sense the soaring involvement of our dear members and we could see our dreams translating into reality. Tell us something about the man behind the username Big B. People want to know you better. This is your opportunity to connect with the members. Ahem ahem ... not so old as the ID suggests :). Initially it is difficult to get the better of me as I am friendly and reserve at the same time. I am a simple person who essentially believes in the goodness of world and the people around. DDF is a big train of awesomeness. People come and go from time to time. If you were to ask one old member who is no longer a part of DDF to come back, who would it be and why? Well in that case I don’t even think because that person is very close to my heart , i can’t tell you his name but yes, members of DDF know him as PB (Polar Bear). He helped me out in each and every possible way. What major obstacles did your team face while working on the magazine? Ummm.... Magazine File Size I guess, just kidding! I guess NONE. You always keep a very low profile on the forums. You maintain a safe distance from all controversies. How do you manage this? Well, that’s the secret of my success, I can’t disclose it publicly. DDF is a big train of awesomeness. People come and go from What other modifications can the members expect in the near future? Any big time to time. If you were to ask one old member who is no plans? longer a part of DDF to come back, who would it be and why? As you know we launched our WAP portal last month, we are updating our forum everyday.

Nothing To Live For Ahemadabad, India, June 2012: A rich and successful Gujarati treasure hunter named Naughty4Life locks himself in his room. On the other side of the door stand his concerned family members, security officials, a pandit, and his fiancée Mallika Sherawat. All of them fear for the worst
Flashback: 3 days ago The golden rays of prosperity and good will bestow themselves to the face of a sleeping Naughty4Life. His eyes open wide to see a layer of 1000 rupee bills on top of them. Mr. Naughty, so rich, his blanket is made out of limited edition 1000 rupee bills. They have face of his girlfriend Mallika Sherawat on them, instead of the usual Mahatma Gandhi. They are outlined by a thin layer of gold, diamonds. A robotic arm takes off the layer of wealth from his body. It brushes Naughty’s teeth, gives him a bubble bath, and covers his beautiful body with his favourite Sherwani. The robot is his personal assistant, designed and manufactured in Japan. Mr. Naughty is now duly equipped to exit his serenity chamber and take care of business. His personal secretary, Shehzan Padamshree, briefs him on the tasks he must do during the 16 hour treasure quest. Please note, that Naughty only works 16 hours a day because 16 is his lucky number according to the legendary Baba Dhongieknumberka ahemdabadi. Naughty’s task for the day is to find the precious crown of King Aragorn. Without that crown King Aragorn is reluctant on making any public appearances. This is a big loss for the DDF community. Admin has specifically ordered its top treasure hunting unit “The Bumpty Bumps” to locate the lost crown ASAP and bring it back to King’s dungeon. Naughty takes out his Chor-vette from the garage and hits the streets. The world slows down in awe as the chosen one sets his sight on his ultimate quest. Other members of the team Kamacharya, Gifty wait for their leader to arrive. When Naughty gets there he summarily orders his pupils to turn on the TV. The team has a perfect record and has never failed to answer the bell. Moreover, he has announced a pay raise for anybody who will bring King Aragorn’s crown to him. This news spread like fire and instantly met Kus234. Kus, the richest DDF member of one time, wants to get back into the money game. He calls his friends Epiphany, SMS Bhai and successfully convinces them to join him in this mission. All three members set out after the crown, without notifying the top authorities. Back to today: Naughty reflects on the events of the past 3 days and their abysmal impact on his life. This 3 day adventure has overshadowed his life of delight and pleasure with the gray clouds of insecurity, self-doubt. He so dearly wishes he could go back in time and erase this chapter from his life. He so wishes he could muster up the courage to open the door and speak face-to-face with his fiancée. His phone rings. The caller ID displays the name of his worst nightmare, ADMIN. Naughty picks up the phone and hesitantly puts it next to his ear.

SHARON STONE is shameless. The actress considers it a skill to have no shame. She thinks everyone should try it, though she cautions that if you’re female, shamelessness can cost you. Her refusal to feel guilty, she says, has gotten her labeled difficult, or worse. “I’m like a Prohibition-era flapper. I’m like a juke-joint hussy,” Stone says over lunch at an Italian restaurant near Beverly Hills. But better to be called names than to be pressured into not being herself. Feeling ashamed, she says, “is not an organic state of being, so shamelessness is closer to godliness. You have to put shame down.” The actress, who broke through as the shamelessly sexual villain in Basic Instinct and most recently did a four-episode guest stint on Law & Order: SVU, says, “I’m detached from my celebrity; I don’t need to be ‘it’ anymore.” She’s been thinking a lot lately about getting older, about womanhood and about lost love. What she’s concluded may surprise you. “Life and love is like the ocean,” she says between bites of a Caesar salad. At 52, she is stunning up close—blue eyed, lithe and radiant in ripped jeans, a white T-shirt sans bra and a linen vest. “Sometimes the tide is in and sometimes the tide is out, and sometimes it’s like the frigging Mojave.” Where’s the tide now? “For me? Mojave! Fortunately, I like the desert. I’m a desert flower.” Her theory on why? “They probably know there’s food in the fridge and that somebody’s going to talk to them and ask them how their day was.”

Her divorce, she tells writer Amy Wallace, hit her harder than she has revealed up till now, starting with insecurity about her looks. Loneliness and self doubt caused her to get something—she doesn’t recall what—injected into her lips. “Nobody loves me. I’m 103. My life would be better if I had better lips,” she says, recounting the thoughts that went through her head pre-injection. Just one thought occurred to her afterward: “What the hell?” Her lips were so overplump, gloss wouldn’t stay put; what’s more, her lips no longer matched. She looked “like a trout,” she says. She adds that she’s shunned plastic surgery ever since. As for her feelings about Bronstein, Stone, who has previously had a sort of tough-as-nails demeanor when discussing their split, says now that she married him “with every best intention for every good and wonderful thing.” And when the marriage was over, it crushed her. “It takes a long, long time to come to the point where you can actually say that you got married because you were in love with the person. And it makes me cry,” she says, dabbing at her eyes. It’s easier to be angry. But to let that go and “to admit your own lovingness was, for me, a harder step. Not to be embarrassed or ashamed that I could love somebody who didn’t love me. And that can be OK.” For much more from the outspoken star —including how she feels her disintegrating marriage affected her devastating brain hemorrhage, why she posed topless on the cover of Paris Match last year and why she had to create a “Sharon Stone
persona.”Sharon Stone, is devoted to sweating. Pilates is her chosen method of getting her heart rate up. But because she’s Sharon Stone, it’s an intensive version of the exercise; she jokes that it should be called Extreme Sports Pilates. Stone likes her Pilates instructor, Anne Winfree, so much that the two are writing a book together, Built from the Inside Out. In this web exclusive, Winfree gives details of the workout that keeps the star in shape. “We began working out together about a year and a half ago,” says Winfree. “Sharon had done some Pilates before, but she’d had a big exercise break of a couple of years when I met her. “In Pilates, you’re able to work harder with less fatigue. The goal is always to do a full body workout. Every move should be about stretch and strength. We shoot for five times a week, an hour each time. She loves her workouts. But she is a mom, so sometimes it’s three or four. Life lets us do what we can. “Then it’s fun/play time. A lot of our next exercises come out of yoga: plank, down dog. We do exercises on a jump board, which are the only cardiovascular exercises in Pilates. You’re on your back, jumping in that position— it’s a squat-jump.As her body gets stronger, her mind gets stronger.
THE SCENE
Watching a parent ght to live, she says, has changed her sense of self in a good way. “Because I saw in him this intense but vulnerable masculinity, I found an intense yet vulnerable femininity,” she tells me, taking a big breath. “The death of my dad was huge for me. It doesn’t make me feel like a child. In fact, it makes me feel like a woman.” A woman determined, more than ever, to feel no shame.
SHARON STONE is fine with nudity.
JUST AS she’s always been. Every-one knows about her star turn in the 1992 thriller Basic Instinct, which featured plenty of sweaty sex scenes. She went clothes free again in the
2006 sequel, Basic Instinct 2, which she likes to call “the naked movie” or simply “Naked 2.” Most recently, she was pictured topless on the covers of Paris Match and Italian Vanity Fair, in photos shot by Alix Malka, looking better- tter-at 51 than most other women ever look. “Is there an age when one shouldn’t be allowed to do certain things, to show one’s body?” she said in Paris Match. “Midlife is not the end of life.” But while Stone says she has no hang-ups about nudity, she hasn’t al-ways felt at home in her body. As a child in Meadville, Pennsylvania, she never knew whether she was the right size. “Nobody is in sync with theirbody growing up,” she says. “As my 10-year-old would say, It’s just awkward.” Part of Stone’s confusion stemmed from the fact that because she was so brainy, she rarely went to school with people her age. At five, she started school in the second grade. She went to college and high school simulta-neously at 15.
No wonder she became an actress. Her long slog toward stardom has become the stuff of legend: After moving to L.A., Stone toiled for years in B movies without breaking through. “I couldn’t get hired because no one thought I was sexy,” she says, recalling how her manager diagnosed the problem. So, without shame, she set them straight by posing for Playboy. Her big break came in 1990, when di-rector Paul Verhoeven featured her in his futuristic thriller Total Recall. But it was his next lm, Basic Instinct, that -nally put her on the map. She’d won the part by arriving at the screen test with Michael Douglas wearing an Armani pantsuit and a sheer blouse with no bra underneath. The message: I’m proud of-and comfortable with-my body. She remembers the mo ment, at a prerelease screening of the lm for several pals on her birthday. I turned to one friend, and I was like, Look how great they made me look. It’s unbelievable.

For her fight scenes with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Stone says, “I put on about 20 pounds of muscleI did three hours a day of weights-dead lifting, curling-and karate about three hours a day, three days a week. I thought if I was going to fight Arnold, I shouldn’t look like a peewee.”
To boost her sexiness quotient, Stone posed for the iconic magazine. A photographer friend, Phillip Dixon, took the inside shots. “I wanted todo photos like Man Ray did of his wife,” she says.
“I designed the character to be quite feral and feline,” says Stone,”and to have an odd way of moving. I would sit so I could command the room. She would be peculiarly out of reach, in a slightly superior position.”
THE SCENE
Today she says she isn’t vain about her body. She takes care of it: She is a devoted student of Pilates and con-sumes very little caffeine. But funda-mentally, she sees her physique as an instrument of her work. “If I’m in an action movie and I’m holding the gun and my elbow is right in the camera, I will say, “I think my elbow looks baggy or bad,’” she says matter-of-factly. “Or I say, “I have cel-lulite today.” I tell them what I think is the problem. Because I’m looking for the better visual, the is not right thing. “sharon stone.” “You know,” she continues, “I’m still wearing OR, RATHER, she is-but not the one you see a bikini. That’s my bathing suit.” Stone doesn’t in public. That persona was created, she believe that “this is what you wear when you’re said, to mask her shyness. 40, 50, 60. Movie Review : Rajneeti Rating : Above average (3.8/5) Genre : Drama Year : 2010 Running time : 2 hours 47 mins Director : Prakash Jha Cast : Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Nana Patekar, Darshan Jariwala, Ajay Devgn, Manoj Bajpai, Naseeruddin Shah Rajneeti sounds like and purports to be a magnum opus. It is long, heavily drenched in political stratagem, and reeks of the staples of good drama – deception, betrayal and wily, capricious people. It is a complex tale – imagine the Mahabharata zipped up into a 3 hour span. Jha takes on an onerous task in trying to incorporate all the elements of that epic tale into one film. And while the film does work in fits and starts, it also drags and is weighed down by too much happening in too short a time. Rajneeti starts off in quick, clipped short takes, with an omnipresent voiceover, to the point where it seemed almost documentary-ish and felt like we were very quickly being brought up to speed to current events instead of leisurely trying to wend our way around this many textured tale. I tired of the narrator narrating and wished that the film would show us events instead of telling us about them. Well, then it did. We are introduced to the new kings and queens of India – the political class. While the old hands, the sitting politicians go around in dhotis and Nehru topis, giving patriotic bhashans, they also groom their progeny for political futures. These princes and princesses are casually wealthy, study and holiday abroad, zip around in expensive, imported cars and are waited on hand and foot in their sprawling bungalows teeming with ever-ready servants.
It’s a dirty word – politics. But in India it is also big business and big money. The quick get-rich scheme that it is, politicians must acquire a thick skin, and the wiles to survive in a cut-throat hierarchy of power. Cashing in on this corruption-laden profession, Rajneeti, Prakash Jha’s latest directorial venture is placed in a politician’s world and centers around a political family in the throes of an election. Rajneeti’s story is clearly inspired by the Mahabharata. There are the Pandava brothers, 2 in this case, a.k.a Samar (Ranbir) and Prithvi Pratap (Arjun Rampal), their mother Kunti a.k.a. Bharati, and father Pandu a.k.a. Mahendra Pratap. Then there is the lone Kaurava, Duryodhana a.k.a. Veerendra Pratap (Manoj Bajpai), son of Bhanu Pratap, Mahendra Pratap’s elder brother. Bhanu Pratap and his younger brother Mahendra have Indian politics well in hand. The elder stands for and wins elections with the political stratagem of the younger. However trouble looms when Bhanu Pratap suffers a heart attack which leaves him paralysed, and Mahendra Pratap must single handedly quell the war for the political fiefdom between the brothers. acting front, huffing haplessly as she tries to portray lost love. The story seems inspired; well-done this could have been the film of the year. Unfortunately, Jha ham-handles it, bringing in what looks to be a sophisticated product but leaving it rough around the edges. There is a lack of attention to detail, that little extra time spent on polishing off the scene just so. The film doesn’t turn into what it could have been because it tries to do too much in too little time. Jha tries to make it all encompassing, prefacing the story with a rushed narrative. I could easily see this as a 2 or 3 part film series, where we would be gracefully introduced to the characters, drama would build up leisurely, and we wouldn’t feel like we were being crammed full of story angles and events. It is not that this film doesn’t work; rather Rajneeti doesn’t work as it could have, because Jha bites off more than he can chew. Still, as of now, this is one of the better films of the year and worth a watch. The film has an interesting plot (Prakash Jha). The screenplay, penned jointly by Anjum Rajab Ali and Prakash Jha, is interesting in the first half but deteriorates after interval when the political game gets ugly and people are eliminated one after another. On the plus side of the script is the fact that it is well-researched and gives the viewer a deep insight into what goes on in the name of politics. Some twists and turns are shocking and leave the audience dumbfounded. Kidwise : Some violence and sexually suggestive scenes make it unsuitable for kids younger than 15.
Ranbir, is clearly the star of the film as Samar, the babe-in-thewoods turning into the conniving politician (and in that, it reminded me of Virasat) . He is ably supported by Darshan Jariwalla as his wily politician grand-father and Nana Patekar as Brij Mama, his political mentor. Arjun Rampal as Prithvi cuts quite a dashing figure in long, flowing churidar kurtas, but his acting is just about adequate.Ajay Devgan is the upstart Dalit leader, the Karna to Bajpai’s Duryodhana, and does play his part quite well. Manoj Bajpai of course, is flawless. As for Katrina, the female lead, she spouts long weighty dialogues in shudh Hindi, but fails

WHO’S IT FOR? I’d say this is for your basic, run of the mill action/ adventure fans with fairly mild expectations. You obviously don’t need to have played the video game to understand the story. EXPECTATIONS: While I did enjoy playing the video game on my GameCube, I didn’t expect that to translate to movie magic. After all, Tomb Raider and Resident Evil didn’t sparkle on the big screen. ACTORS: Jake Gyllenhaal as Dastan: Hmm… while he clearly got into shape for the role, and the hair wasn’t a distraction … I never really felt compelled to follow him on this adventure. Dastan stands for all things good, which is odd that people seem to think he really did kill this other good guy. Simple question to that … why? Why would he? I just wanted more jumping and running on top of buildings. Score: 5 Arterton as Tamina: Tamina talks in such a proper, prolonged manner that whenever she gets going, I tune out. Every Gemma other character spends the movie telling her how beautiful she is, but there’s nothing amusing or fun about that. Worst of all, no spark between Tamina and Dastan until death is on the line, and then it’s short lived. Ben Kingsley as Nizam: Sir Ben is boring. Being the brother of the King means picking and choosing when and where you have influence. Once Nizam’s plan comes into full view, it seems really, really elaborate. Plus, how does he know about all of these ancient, magical things? Alfred Molina as Sheik Amar: Wow. Talk about comic relief. I wouldn’t have been surprised if Amar would have popped on a fake nose and added an exploding cigar to eek out the potential for more laughs. His hatred of taxes, and love of ostriches helps the time go by a little faster. TALKING: There is no spark between Tamina and Dastan, so the basic, flirtation dialogue between the two just doesn’t work. As I said above, Amar pushes the limit, but is kind of amusing. The worst part is, supposedly this is one big happy family of brothers, but they barely seem to know or care about each other.

SIGHTS: Seeing Dastan try to brainstorm is great, but not really used after the beginning. By the way, that’s also borrowed from the video game with good effect. The visuals are a little bit better than The Mummy, but any time a movie makes you think about The Mummy, then it’s not doing a good enough job. SOUNDS: It’s exactly what you would expect. The sound effects push the limits of volume with the whips cracking and the arrows flying. The film ends with an Alanis Morrisette song. I really don’t know what to make of that. The film’s score is very similar to Sex in the City 2 when the girls are in Abu Dhabi. I guess when deserts are involved there’s really only one choice. PLOT SPOILERS BEST SCENE: While some of the roof top chases are fun, the best action is the first we see with the adult Dastan. He’s got to get up a castle wall, so he has his fellow soldiers create an arrow ladder which he quickly climbs up. ENDING: For a little while, I thought it was going to go a little dark, and I was excited. But in the most basic, Disney-like fashion, it turned into a very typcial, happy ending. QUESTIONS: The video game has a good story. Why put so much effort into changing it? This is more of a shout-out than a question, but Nick Allen … didn’t you like the font in this movie? Much better than Avatar, right? REWATCHABILITY: Some of the action sequences will catch my eye if I come across this movie on cable, but otherwise I won’t be going out of my way to see this again. It does have me considering firing up the GameCube game for another adventure. OVERALL OVERALL There’s just know “wow” factor with this movie. There’s a “cool” factor but it’s only few and far between. With that said, it’s still one of the best video game adaptations out there. Gyllenhaal and his stunt double do some pretty good parkour on the building tops. Unfortunately, the story is a little too muddled and confusing. There is also nothing between Dastan and Tamina except good looks. The movie starts with Dastan as a young boy who earns his way into the heart of the king, becoming his adopted son. Dastan already has his talents to scale walls and hop on ledges with the greatest of ease. Since that’s the most interesting thing going for this movie, why isn’t there a focus on this talent? Show us how he learned these skills, how he practices, etc. On the podcast Movie B.S. with Bayer and Snider we play a game called “Fixer and Defender.” I have a plot fix that I am working on for this movie. Until then, I really don’t plan on spending much time thinking about this film. It’s forgettable. So now, allow me to be one of the thousands of critics to say something “clever” about this film. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time should use the mystical knife to travel back and make an interesting movie.

What you need to know about Apple’s next-gen Iphone OS
We told Apple to include multitasking,.We told’em.And, finally, the ability to run more than one app at the same time is on the way, so you can listen, browse and play without closing stuff down, and flick between running apps using a swanky new dock that’s brought up by double-clicking the home button. The service that has already wowed us on the iPad is coming to iPhone intact. Books will sync across devices, sp you’ll start on the page you left off with on your iPad (or Mac, if the rumours are correct). You may question a small screen’s suitability as a reader, but millions already use their IPhones with existing ereading software such as Kindle and Stanza. Like Xbok live for IPhone, this could take mobile gaming to the next level. through Game Center you can invite friends to multiplayer games or seek new online partners to go headto-head with, and there will be achievements to unlock the leaders boards to climb. Windows Phone 7’s Xbox Live integration may well do the same thing when it arrives. OS 4’s Mail client will merge messages from various accounts into one handy list and arrange them into threads, similar to Gmail. Multiple Exchange accounts will also be possible, and you’ll be able to open attachments from within Mail rather than having to save them first.

Instead of running through homescreen after homescreen to find an app, you can bunch them into folders, one of which can be added to the clock. You’ll also be able to properly customise the wallpaper, Spell-check and Bluetooth keyboard support will be available, and the camera will get a 5x digital zoom.
Apple iPhone 4: Everything You Need to Know Retina Display A4 Chip and Gyroscope Camera & iMovie Bing iBooks for iPhone iOS 4 iAds Video Calling
The Apple iPhone 4 is here and we have all the answers to your questions including pictures and detailed specifications.
Steve Jobs introduced the iPhone 4 today, which he claims offers over 100 new features, though he would focus on only a handful for the keynote. The iPhone 4 looks like the iPhone prototype obtained under questionable circumstances by Gizmodo: stainless steel casing, all-glass front, and a design Jobs describes as the thinnest smartphone on the planet: almost 25 percent thinner than the iPhone 3GS Unlike previous iPhones, the iPhone 4 will have volume controls on the side THE SCENE

The iPhone 4 will also feature an Appledesigned A4 CPU, following along the lines of the processor powering the iPad. Jobs said the A4 processor improved power management, so the iPhone 4 will manage 40 percent more talk time on 3G networks (up to 7 hours), or up to 6 hours of 3G Web browsing or 10 hours of Wi-Fi browsing. The device can also play up to 10 hours of video, 40 hours of music, and should have an standby time of up to 300 hours. The iPhone 4 will also pack up to 32 GB of onboard flash storage, and will offer quad-band HSDPA/HSUPA for mobile broadband speeds up to 7.2Mbps downstream, 4.8Mbps upstream…assuming carrier networks support that technology. The iPhone 4 will also support 802.11n Wi-Fi, assisted GPS, Bluetooth, and packs and accelerometer, compass, proximity sensor, and an ambient light sensor,. The iPhone 4 also sports a gyroscope, which enables six-axis motion sensing…just like a game controller, and iPhone OS 4 will offer developer APIs to leverage the gyroscope: Jobs envisions the gyroscope enabling whole new types of mobile gaming.
Among new features in iOS 4 will be an option to use Microsoft’s Bing as a default search engine; Google will still be the iPhone’s default search, but Yahoo and Bing-powered searches will be available as options. Note that Bing will be taking over the back end for Yahoo’s search services later this year. Apple also announced a version of iBooks will be available for iPhone, with feature parity to the iPad edition (complete with previouslyannounced PDF and annotations support). The applications will be able to synchronize across devices, so users will be able to start reading an iBook on an iPad, then pick up at the same spot on the iPhone. Users will be able to download purchased books to all their supported devices at no extra charge.
Jobs also took a moment to highlight Apple’s new in-application advertising platform iAds: according to Jobs, Apple is developing iAds as a revenue channel for developers so they can earn money from applications in ways other than direct sales to users. As outlined last April, Apple is aiming for high amounts of interactivity and engagement with iAds, building on HTML5 technologies rather than the still-industrystandard Adobe Flash. Apple will host all the advertising and handle ad sales, so all applications developers have to do is specify where in the applications the ads should be placed, then collect 60 percent of the revenue from placements in their applications. Apple has only been selling iAds for about two months—they should go live Jule 1—and so far has many major brands on board, including Disney (Jobs is Disney’s biggest single shareholder, remember), Target, Best Buy, Geico, DirecTV, and other major brands. Unlike traditional banner ads that eject users from applications out into Web browsers, iAds run without exiting a user’s application, providing an interactive experience without causing people to leave apps, or lose work or messages: the goal is an engaging experience that users know is “safe” regardless of the app they’re using.

5 MUST HAVE IPHONE APPLICATIONS
iPhone offers a large quantity of useful apps for its users via the app store. But this large clutter of apps could be problematic. You joyfully enter the app store premises with credit card in your hands, anxious to burn off your dad’s hard earned money. You pause – think for a moment, and command your iphone to take to a app category of your choice (BAUS!) The world is your playground. iPhone quickly pops out results that adhere to your specifications but wait a minute – there’s like a million apps that do the same thing. Which one is best suited for you? Which works the best and is worth the money? Well, look no further as KudiPunjaban is here to save you some valuable time and money with her list of 5 MUST HAVE iPhone Apps.
PANDORA BOX (Not to be confused with Pandora Radio) This app likes your money as much as you do. App store is always changing. Every minute app developers lower prices to boost the sales. Some even offer their valued creations for free for limited periods of time. This is where this app comes in handy; never ever miss a sale in your life. Befriend your money.
When I first got my iPhone I spent quite a bit time looking for the perfect IM app. I went online, did some research which didn’t help at all. The more I read about this topic, the bigger the list of “BEST” Messenger apps became. I did what I presumed at that time was the best way to solve this predicament – SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST. I put all of them to the test. I downloaded them all and used them for a certain period of time. Then I started to uninstall the weaklings one by one. In the end I was left with the best IM app accordingly my preferences – BEEJIVE.
Shazam Encore
Shazam has superhero capabilities. It can listen to a song and instantly identify it. Its nifty interface allows users to download the song from iTunes, share them with your friends

No other iPhone game has been able to hold my attention for as long as this one. Its a simple yet addictive game. You’re a flight controller and your task is to safely land. Easy concept, slick graphics and lovely controls combine to make this a worthwhile download.
Tap Tap Revenge 3
The app contains a massive library of great songs, nice competitive online play, and has unbelievably amazing graphics. You design your own avatar and engage in musical battles with strangers online. This is the best free app – PERIOD!!

Smartphone iPhone
The iPhone gives users instant access to a navigation system that offers many of the features of dedicated GPS devices (including the live traffic and weather information that two-way connected devices deliver). The iPhone’s built-in Google Maps app can provide directions, but it lacks interactivity and turn-by-turn directions. That’s why, to maximize the iPhone as a navigation device, you need a specialized navigation app. A smartphone makes a convenient navigator, since it’s likely to always be with you. But using a smartphone as a navigation device has drawbacks, too. With the screen constantly on, your phone’s battery can quickly exhaust its charge; in my testing of an iPhone equipped with navigation software, the device’s battery life dropped by about 70 percent in just over an hour. At a minimum, you’ll need to have a charger on hand to support this method of navigation. In order for the iPhone to get a clear signal from GPS satellites, it needs to sit in a cradle on your car’s dashboard or windshield. Basic mounts cost $30, but specialty mounts can improve the iPhone’s performance as a navigation device. Both Magellan (for $130) and TomTom (for $120) sell mounting docks that provide power, an amplified Bluetooth speaker to serve as a speakerphone and to issue audio directions, and an auxiliary GPS receiver to complement the iPhone’s GPS chip and improve signal reception. But when you add the cost of the mount to the cost of the app, the total expenditure approaches what you’d pay for a dedicated device with a larger screen.
THE SCENE
Prices for iPhone navigation apps range from $25 to $80, but they don’t require any monthly subscriptions; so far, all of the upgrades released for such apps have been free.
Navigon’s My Region version ($25) is the cheapest on-board navigation application available for the iPhone, but it restricts you to choosing maps for approximately one-third of the United States (a full complement of maps costs $80).
TomTom 1.3 for the iPhone ($60 for the United States only, $70 for the United States and Canada; the mount accessory, included in the image at left, is $120) neatly integrates Google local search. The IQ Routes routing method considers historical traffic and speed data.
Another drawback: Smartphones tend to be smart about just one operation at a time. Whenever I fielded an incoming call, the navigation application had to shut down; it would relaunch and resume navigation only after I completed the call. If you frequently travel to unfamiliar places, you’ll be better off with a dedicated GPS device. Unlike its competitors from ALK Technologies, Navigon, and TomTom, the Magellan iPhone app does not include Google local search. (You can search through the iPhone’s browser, of course, but doing so requires you to leave the navigation app.) It doesn’t provide live traffic information either, though this capability may come soon in an in-app upgrade, according to the company

Apple’s iPad Plays Games, Surprise!
Surprise!
Call Apple’s tablet the iPad, because that’s what Steve Jobs does, and hey, it can play games! Thank goodness, right? Apple’s iPhone didn’t for years, and even Apple probably realizes what an embarrassing mistake that was. It also packs in 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, a speaker and mic, a compass and an accelerometer, and retails in its most basic configuration for just $499.
So while my colleagues are poring over its ramifications in dozens of other areas, let’s talk about the iPad and gaming, or at least what Apple wants us to take away from the media circus that’s wrapping up as I type this. For starters, it’s extremely thin and light, which means three things: It’ll be a delight to tote, perhaps a trifle vulnerable That’s still notably better than a serious gaming laptop (by com- if dropped or caught between heavy objects, and-parison, my eight-pounder runs for an hour, cordless, tops) but yep, it’ll have pretty abysmal battery life. dramatically less than the Nintendo DS or Sony PSP, which can either approach or exceed 10. For example, my PSP 3000 with the 2200 mAh battery upgrade almost gets me across the pond and back--Detroit to London to Detroit--on a single charge. Apple claims 10 hours battery life, which you can already assume is like the EPA’s mileage estimates for cars (read: Not so much). In fact at least one beta tester who had the thing for the last 10 days apparently estimates it’s more like three hours if you’re running a game full-out.
Under the iPad’s hood, you’re looking at a 1GHz Apple A3 chip, basically an all-in-one processor that handles core crunching as well as audio-video math processing typically reserved for discrete silicon. You don’t get much in the way of storage, though. Apple says between 16 and 64 GB of flash storage internal, which means--sorry Blizzard wonks-you won’t be running anything like World of Warcraft on it.

Offering more mid-range gaming capabilities than anything else (and certainly results superior to the average smartphone and netbook), we’re most intrigued by features such as wireless broadband connectivity, a slick-looking LED 9.7 inch touchscreen and overall enhanced processing performance. Areas where the iPad offers immediate room for improvement are in games where graphics, speed and overall wow factor are major elements, e.g. first-person shooters, racing games, role-players and real-time strategy titles. Going forward, it’s not hard to picture versions of Torchlight or Supreme Commander designed specifically for use with the iPad tablet, helping to undermine PCs’ control of certain genres. Or, for that matter, grand-scale social or premium freeto-play and MMO games that take the most advantage of the hardware.
Still, not everyone’s a believer. “I don’t think the iPad will have a major impact on the gaming industry in the short term other than generating a lot of ink,” says analyst David Cole of DFC Intelligence.” “Yes, the iPhone and iPod touch have built a user base that is starting to look compelling. However, the iPad is unproven, and even if it is a big success, its overall impact would not be that great. However, it does show that Apple is in this space as a potential major player to keep an eye on.” S Similarly, our own in-house video game analyst, Scott Steinberg, believes what we’ll likely see are fleeting efforts at first in the form of “slightly enhanced ports, conversions from other portable gaming platforms, and a lot of minor experiments with the hardware.” Like many, he’s convinced that between the time it’s going to take for such an expensive device to build an audience, and the lower price points at which iPad games will retail (roughly $9.99 – not $60 like most set-top console titles, thereby cutting into potential profits), it will preclude larger publishers from really going whole-hog in terms of blockbuster game development. Along the same lines, he says, “it may take 18-24 months before game developers really start to come to grips with the iPad hardware and its potential.” 35 | Dadesiforum.com

Apple’s Rivals Scramble to Match the iPad Dell, HP, and Lenovo are rushing to compete against the Apple iPad in the tablet PC market, which could reach 50 million units by 2015. Few people doubt that 2010 will go down as the year the tablet computer took off. On April 3, the first day of sales, Apple sold 300,000 iPad tablets to eager buyers. Weeks later, Apple announced that it would delay by one month the international launch of the iPad because it couldn’t keep up with domestic demand.
