ENCOUNTER WITH
ADMIN This is Epiphany aka Kudi Punjaban from the interview desk. My guest for the day is none other than the great admin. Many believe our admin is the biggest mystery to ever prevail on this planet. Nobody really knows a whole lot about him. Obviously, being the admin of such a large forum keeps him occupied him most of the time. Therefore, he doesn’t get enough opportunities to converse with the members. Today, we’ll try and change that. Mr. Admin welcome to THE SCENE. 1). You were the first member of DDF. Now we have more than 246,000 members. How do you feel when you look that stat? It’s a feeling I cannot explain... seeing something you created ‘just for fun’ turn into something so big is really heart warming. I remember we guys had started the forum for earning quick bucks, if any. Then this urge of making it better took over. Money took a backseat and the forum took off like anything woh kehte hain na, kisi cheez ko dil se chaaho toh saari kaayenaat tumhe us se milaane mein lag jaati hai.
late last year. All you got to do as admin is flex your muscles, it’s the ddf team really that does the work. I am one lazy guy! 3). A lot of people, in the past, have made efforts to solve the mystery that you are. I believe it’s time to reveal you to the world. Describe yourself in one sentence. An optimist, fun loving movie and pron freak ith a sensitive heart who cares for his friends.
4). DDF is a Masala forum. Every day thousands log in to satisfy their insatiable lust. Who is 2). How difficult is it to be the admin of the your favourite lady in “hard times” (literally)? largest desi forum on the internet? It’s got to be my ex! no actresses, no porn Not at all! When you have a team of such stars. I don’t like it when it’s pure lust. Add “differently” able guys with you, its easy. Special some emotions and voila mention of BIGB and KP here without them we could not have gotten over the storm we faced THE SCENE 4 | Dadesiforum.com

DA 5). Running a forum isn’t an easy task and I am sure you guys endured a lot of challenges. Did you ever feel like giving up? What was the most difficult experience you’ve had as far as DDF is concerned? There were many. There was a time ddf was blocked from Google for hosting malicious Trojans. Then we had a server crash sometime in October last year and Of course when we had a resignation en masse by our mod team. Saale sab ek saath busy ho gaye. We got hacked once too, that was a tough time; had to work day and night to restore the forum. But the real cherry on cake was when we were given a legal notice by a big production house in US. It’s real big. Not taking any names. It was a notice regarding the movies links we shared or should I say our members posted. We offered to remove the links, but they won’t budge, even after removal they kept “harassing” us. Only I know how we convinced them otherwise that was the time I actually thought to just quit since then aal izz well. 6). What do you do when you’re not busy making this awesome place even more user friendly? In other words, what are your hobbies? As I said I am a movie freak. There’s hardly a weekend when u wont spot me in a theatre. When there are more than 3 good releases in a week, I take it as a task to manage my time to watch all of them. Then there’s reading. I read a LOT. Anything goes, newspapers (we have 3 newspapers daily!), novels, and general books like “men are from mars”. I read anything that I find even remotely interesting. I LOVE driving. There are many times when I just leave my place in the middle of the night to drive because I know roads will be empty. I don’t speed. It’s leisurely.
And then of course when I am free on a lazy day, I sleep. 7). What is your most prized possession? Nothing. I have seen some terrible times in every aspect (financially, personally). I have learnt the more u love something/someone, more are the chances of it going away from you. That said I can’t part with my car! Have been with Fiat for a LONG time now and they just MAKE you love them. 8). I know you’re a busy man and I don’t want to hold you here for long. Before I set you free let’s do a rapid fire round. Tell us the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear a.The greatest movie of all time : MANY MANY MANY. Latest inception. I liked my name is khan this year, there was taare zameen par, I am legend, shootout at lokhandwala. MANY MANY these are just some name I remember now. There will be many I will remember after this interview and go “f*** how could I forget THIS!” b.Favourite color: Will smith, Abhay Deol, also like Fahid Kapoor. c.Favourite sport: Not into sports much, but if I have to name one Cricket. d.Best athlete in the world: Bolt?! He is awesome! Sachin Tendulkar - for being so fit at this age. I heard he has never asked for a runner EVER in test cricket. And yes, Nadal! He is awesome! e.Dream vacation: Anywhere where the mausam is awesome. A cool 20 degrees or so. A nice beach where I don’t have my cell with me and the company of 5 of my bestest friends. f.Kinkiest fetish: Nah it’s so bad you would lock me up. 5 | Dadesiforum.com

the beginning of the end is almost upon us. on November 19th 2010, Harry potter and the Deathly Hallows: part I will sweep onto cinema screens worldwide, and potter fans everywhere will cram into auditoriums with a sense of both anticipation and sadness. this is it. After ten years of magical adventures, Daniel radcliffe and co. are about to make their final bow. Like the desert wanderer about to pour the last drop of water onto his thirsty tongue, we know we’ll have to savour every moment. concern is understandable. What if that golden droplet is tainted and leaves a bad taste in the mouth? We really don’t want our last memory of Hogwarts to be one of disappointment, do we? Well let’s step back from this fanatical frenzy for a moment and try to appreciate how important it is, not only for us, but also for the creators of the franchise that the movie doesn’t let us down. If films

such as the Golden compass, percy Jackson and eragon have taught us anything, it’s that adapting a children’s fantasy novel to the screen is a tricky business. Where they have failed, the Harry potter films have thus far been remarkably successful. In fact, they have become so synonymous with the bestselling novels that it is difficult to read the series without picturing radcliffe, emma Watson and rupert Grint in the lead roles. this did not happen by accident. ten years of hard graft has gone into making these films. ten years that, for some of the cast, represents half a lifetime. For them, the Deathly Hallows is the equivalent of the last stroke of the brush, the big exam, and the Quidditch Final all in one. there’s no way in hell they want to get it wrong. perhaps it was for this reason that director David Yates and writer steve Kloves decided to split the film into two parts (the second of which will be released next summer). Yates has pointed out, “there’s so much material in the seventh book that making two films was the best thing we could
have done to adapt it in the right way.” of course, the sceptical amongst us may point out that Warner bros will make twice the profit by releasing two films, and that splitting a story down the middle can completely screw up the narrative pace, as we saw in pirates of the caribbean 2 and 3. the value of these conjectures will be better assessed after the movies have been revealed to the public, but one thing is certain: Harry potter fans are not baulking at the idea of an extra movie. Indeed, there is a real reluctance on all sides to let the franchise go, and splitting the Deathly Hallows into two parts, so long as it is done properly, can only be a great thing for everyone. Having directed the Half blood prince last year, Yates was the natural candidate for the forthcoming movies, as was screenwriter Kloves, who has been responsible for the adaptations since day one. With a résumé that includes

scores for New moon, Fantastic mr. Fox and the Golden compass amongst many others, there is no doubting Desplat’s calibre as a musician, but his appointment was not enough to appease certain factions who were holding their breaths for Williams to return. The impression is that the Deathly Hallows will have a rather different feel to the other films. In keeping with J.K. rowling’s own perception of the book, Yates has tried to give part I a road trip vibe. emma Watson described what she thought of the changes: “I feel like I’m on a different film. the other films have this structure. You know, we come into the Great Hall and there’s the opening talk, and that’s just gone. It’s gone.” Indeed, a mere glimpse of the trailer reveals a completely distinct aesthetic. With roaming shots over stunning landscapes and battles in the darkest regions of forest, the movie seems to have as much in common with the Lord of the rings trilogy as it does with its predecessors. Whether or not fans will warm to this change remains unknown, but rest assured there will be enough dragons and broomsticks flying around to keep the majority of us in high spirits. If you’re one of the 400 million or so people who have read the novel, you’ll be well aware of what to expect plot-wise. We join Harry during dark times indeed, with Hogwarts and the ministry of magic in the clutches of the evil Lord Voldemort, whose power is growing by the second. our hero, with his sidekicks in tow, begins a journey Dumbledore set in motion shortly before he died to find and destroy the mysterious Horcruxes, which are key to Voldemort’s eternal life. However, with a price on Harry’s head, this is a journey from which he may never return. so this is the first kiss goodbye. back in June, after his last day on set, radcliffe confessed, “everyone was really devastated. It was really, really sad. We were crying quite a lot.” the chances are that come next summer there will be quite a few muggles doing exactly the same thing. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I is released on 19th November.

But when a local journalist Rakesh [Nawazuddin, brilliant], publishes an article about Natha, which is then picked up by national news channels, politicians come under the spotlight and the entire nation waits with bated breath for Natha to perform the deed. How a poor farmer’s plight becomes a tool in the hands of the media and politicians for personal gains is what Peepli Live is primarily about. The concept is interesting but not novel. The media and politicians, along with the police, seem to be the two most abused groups in our ‘social’ films and this one walks a similar line. But Rizvi, who has also penned the film’s script, brings a certain degree of sensibility and subtlety, which gives Peepli Live a quality that sets it apart. Shalini Vatsa as Natha’s wife Dhaniya, Farrukh Jaffer as amma, and Malaika Shenoy and Vishal O Sharma as television reporters Nandita and Deepak all put in performances to be proud of. It’s hard to believe that most actors in the film have little or no previous experience of being in front of the camera. They all excel in their respective roles. Omkar Das Manikpuri makes a smashing debut as actor and delivers a truly realistic performance. He is first-rate as Natha who is ready to end his life. Raghubir Yadav is excellent. He goes through his role in the most natural manner. Malaika Shenoy, as TV reporter and hostess Nandita Mallik, is superb. She shines! Vishal O. Sharma, as the other television reporter, Kumar Deepak, also does a wonderful job. Farukh Jaffer is a highlight. She essays the role of Amma so beautifully that she may well become the darling of the audience. Her dialogue delivery deserves special mention. Shalini Vatsa acts very effectively. Nawazuddin Siddiqui leaves a superb mark as Rakesh. Naseeruddin Shah is lovely. Yugal Kishore (as chief minister Ram Yadav), Sitaram Panchal (as Bhai Thakur) and the others lend admirable support. A word about casting director Mahmood Farooqui (who is also the co-director): his casting is fabulous!! THE SCENE

It’s amazing what expectations can do to a film. This year, My Name Is Khan and Raavan were released with probably the most fanfare and found that hopes had been raised impossibly high. No one would have suspected Peepli Live of following in the footsteps of these biggies. Made by a debutante filmmaker, starring a bunch of never-seen-before actors, shot in rural India and touching upon the issue of farmer suicides; all of these would probably have acted as deterrents rather than incentives for getting people excited. But add Aamir Khan Productions in the credits and you get a film everyone wants to watch. After all, the banner’s filmography so far has been excellent and Khan’s penchant of backing the right horse is legendary. THE SCENE
A few minutes into Peepli Live, though, the people involved in its making — whether it’s the superstar producer or the director Anusha Rizvi, whose brainchild it is — don’t matter. You react to the film purely based on what unspools in the dark environs of the cinema hall and on whether it has the potential to touch you, or entertain you, or make you ponder. In that sense, Peepli Live does a good job of telling villager Natha’s story with a fair sprinkling of humour and heartwarming moments. Brothers Natha [Manikpuri, apt] and Budhiya [Yadav, dependable as ever] are unable to repay a bank loan they took for agricultural purposes and lose their land. With nowhere to go and a wife, kids and mother to fend for, Natha decides to commit suicide when he learns that the government is willing to compensate families of dead farmers with Rs1 lakh. 14 | Dadesiforum.com
What’s Good? The satire, the comedy, the performances, the script.
Anusha Rizvi makes a very promising debut as director. In spite of taking up a rural-based subject with poverty and death as the underlying points, she has added so much to the drama that it doesn’t remain the depressing fare it could have become if the narration was dull. Perhaps, the only thing lacking is the emotional quotient. Since the film deals with the topic of death, there was scope for emotions but Anusha Rizvi has simply not gone up that street – something she could’ve done to advantage.
The music goes wonderfully well with the mood of the film. ‘Sakhi saiyyan’ (composed by Bhadwai village artistes) is already a very popular song. ‘Des mera’ (by Indian Ocean) is another entertaining number. ‘Chola maati ke’ (composed by Nageen Tanvir; original Gond tribal tune of Mandala district of Madhya Pradesh) is melodious. The lyrics of all the three songs (Chhattisgarhi folk poet Gangaram Saket for ‘Chola maati ke’, Sanjeev Sharma and Swanand Kirkire for ‘Des mera’, and Bhadwai village artistes for ‘Sakhi saiyyan’) are lovely. Mathias Duplessy’s background music is very good.
Peepli Live should have been a surprise package. But given the marketing blitzkrieg that preceded it, it ends up as something that probably falls a wee bit short of what you imagined it to be.

SONAM KAPOOR THE STAR NEXT DOOR
You know, there’s no correct answer to this question really. Because movies generally are a family business in our country. And even if you don’t like it there’s a certain amount of reservation. I mean star kids will always work in his home production, isn’t it? So, that seat is reserved. But really no amount of reservation works out here. Only success speaks for itself.
I disagree. All my friends are boys, including Ranbir Kapoor.
Everything is not black and white. All boys aren’t as sweet as they were in school when they grow up. There’s world beyond the film industry. Not all leaders are capable of doing their jobs. Demi-gods have feet of clay.
I’ve become surer of myself. I don’t take people for granted any more. I’ve realised the power of a hit film. I’ve realised the power of good cinema. I’ve realised that it’s important to be known as a good actor as opposed to being simply eye-candy. It gets you respect.
If there’s world peace life would be so uninteresting really. To know world peace, you need to know distress. There has to be a balance of energies in the world. You need to have both ying and yang to survive. So shall I choose a blockbuster superhit movie.

Sonam Kapoor says her dad’s popularity doesn’t open any avenues for her
She may proclaim her father, Anil Kapoor, as “the best actor in country”, but actress Sonam Kapoor says she’s not the one to piggyback on her dad’s popularity.”I try to keep away from propping myself as someone who uses her dad,” she says, addressing a question of whether her father international prominence post Slumdog Millionaire has opened avenues for her in Hollywood. “My dad being big is not going to open doors for me anywhere. It’s doing films like Saawariya, which was produced by an international company, and Delhi-6, which was shown at international festivals that has given me a lot of visibility abroad,” she maintains. The actress takes a strong stand as being constantly classified as a ‘party-girl’ as well. Talking about a picture of her drinking that surfaced on the internet, she says, “I was drinking in that [picture].
21 | Dadesiforum.com
I drink and I have a good time, I’m a young girl. But articles that are written baselessly or when someone as an agenda against you – that’s unfair. But then, I am in the media eye, and I chose to be there by being an actor. I know what’s coming and I’ve been brought up to deal with it.” And what does she thinks about rumours of her being linked up to actors Ranbir Kapoor and Cyrus Shaukar? “Ranbir is one of my best friends and he’s seeing someone. I’m friendly with both of them, and they come to my house a lot. So that [linking me and Ranbir] will be a little incestuous then, right? I’m aware of Cyrus, too, because he called me in panic,” she laughs. So once for all – is she or is she not in relationship?”No, I’m not ... unfortunately or fortunately, I don’t know ... that’s for you to decide. There are no good men around,” rues the actress, who unveiled People magazine’s second edition of India’s Best Dressed in the Capital recently.

Salt is a senseless blast. As I think back, I have
no clue why the guy at the beginning did the thing with the … or why Salt—that’s the name of the fugitive CIA agent played by Angelina Jolie —would need to … or why the villain could turn out to be… It’s impossible, impossible, to parse. But what Salt lacks in coherence it makes up in centrifugal force. You might not know why Salt is doing what she’s doing, but you know while you’re watching that Jolie knows. The actress’s certainty is diabolical.
THE SCENE
It has to be, since she’s acting in a vacuum. After Salt is fingered as a Russian sleeper agent by a defector (Daniel Olbrychski) who then … never mind, it makes no sense … she has to escape from her erstwhile CIA colleagues. Much of Salt is Salt running away as Liev Schreiber and Chiwetel Ejiofor yell, “Salt! Stop! Salt!” She jumps off an overpass and onto a passing truck and then rolls over and kicks a motorcyclist off his bike and weaves on the bike between a jam-up of cars while the bullets zing past her. “Salt! Salt! Stop!” She’ll never stop.
She’s on the hunt for her kidnapped German husband (August Diehl), an authority on spiders. Did he fall for her spidery grace, her cool disregard of gravity, her fanged smile? No, he fell for the pre-envenomed child below the surface. Now Salt will blow away anyone who stands between her and reclaiming that dewy innocence. Director Phillip Noyce and writer Kurt Wimmer must have ticked off the heroes to be bested: Bond, Bourne, Bauer … Who’s missing? MacGyver! Watch Salt use household chemicals to turn a fire extinguisher into a rocket launcher.Watch her go where 007 would fear to tread: the women’s lav, where she tapes up a wound with a maxi pad. 26 | Dadesiforum.com
Salt strides down a hotel corridor, plucks an outfit off a rack of dry-cleaned clothes, opens the door to her suite, takes in the rooms—all in one fluid motion, without a wasted beat. That’s the movie: brisk, efficient, forward-ho even when the plot does loop-de-loops, fluid even when the action is smash-and-bash. If “Salt” were nothing but chase scenes, it might grow tedious, but the movie builds nuts-andbolts suspense into the question of who Salt is, which side she’s on – and why the Russians, in one very crafty and elaborate set piece, would even try to assassinate their own president. “Salt” has enough high-octane reversals to keep you guessing right to the end. The First U.S. WiMAX Phone Want more Internet? The HTC EVO 4G, the nation’s first WiMAX phone, has more Internet than any phone in America today. All that Internet takes a toll on the EVO’s battery, so you’ll need to recharge it often when using 4G. But if you live online, the EVO offers a big, beautiful, and powerful window to the world. The EVO is a big black slab with a 4.3 inch LCD screen that is very reflective and therefore barely usable outdoors. Indoors, though, it’s gorgeous. The phone doesn’t have a physical keyboard, which is not as accurate as an IPhone’s. One other neat feature is a kickstand on the back for propping it up to watch videos. HTC also packs in lots of useful software, such as an FM radio, a Twitter client, two GPS navigation options, Microsoft Office and PDF document readers, and more. Such apps run quickly on the 1-GHz processor. On our tests, benchmark scores were on a par with its competitors, the Google Nexus One and HTC Droid Incredible phones.
With the HTC EVO™ 4G, you’ve got the power to do more than you ever thought possible with a phone. Wi-Fi® wherever you go. Needless to say, Sprint, HTC, and quite frankly, many of us have come to expect the EVO 4G to join that short list for some obvious reasons. Put simply, its magnificent list of specs reads as though it was scribbled on a napkin after a merry band of gadget nerds got tipsy at the watering hole and started riffing about their idea of the ultimate mobile device: a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 4.3-inch WVGA display, 8 megapixel camera with 720p video recording, HDMI-out, and WiMAX compatibility. Of course, the list of potential deal-breakers for a phone is as long as the EVO 4G’s display is wide; to put it another way, there are countless ways HTC, Sprint, or even Google could’ve screwed this thing up. There are a fair few preloaded apps in addition to HTC Sense, and surprisingly there are some useful titles among the mixture (and a few less than useful, of course). Android 2.1 comes with Google Maps Navigation, which in its latest incarnation supports voice guidance for driving and bicycle routes as well as traffic, but Sprint also insist on loading their own Telenav-powered system (which is bundled into the Sprint Everything Plan). HTC Peep for Twitter is onboard, as is an Office document and PDF reader app, and there’s the Sprint Hotspot app – to turn your EVO 4G into a MiFi-style mobile router and share its 3G/4G connection with various WiFi clients; more on that later – a YouTube HQ app and Qik for video sharing. Finally there’s Sprint TV and, less useful perhaps, their NASCAR and NFL sports apps. Without a physical keyboard, text entry is via an onscreen ‘board using HTC’s own custom layout. We’re big fans of it from previous handsets, and here the extra screen space on offer makes for even speedier input. Both autocorrection and word-prediction are supported, and even the portrait orientation keyboard is large enough for pecking out an email. Flip it into landscape orientation and you can hold the EVO 4G in both hands and thumb-type at a decent pace. The only thing missing, in fact, is a joystick of some sort, without which highlighting text and making more precise corrections can be time-consuming. We imagine its omission was mainly down to an absence of physical space for the hardware. 37 | Dadesiforum.com

His tongue thrust into her mouth, stroking with wild abandon. She knew that same feeling of desperation, of urgency, felt it in every recess of her body. “I want you, Zane!” she cried out, uncaring of their surroundings, or who or even what might chance upon them in this open stretch of land and water. “I need you, baby,” she rasped, tugging at his lower lip as she pulled away from his mouth. “Do all those things you said you wanted to do. He lifted the sodden white cotton to his nose and inhaled deeply before tossing it aside. “You don’t have any more of those either, but I like you better without.”Anita’s heart slammed inside her chest with his move. She liked him better without too —without a single scrap of clothing covering his beautiful flesh. His large hands fell to her hips and he tipped her pelvis skyward, opened her legs wide to the falling rain. Heat rushed into her face as he gazed so intently at her swollen sex. She fought the sudden urge to clamp her legs tightly
THE SCENE together, but then forgot about it completely when he lowered his head to her widespread thighs and sighed loudly..“Oh, princess, your pussy’s soaked.” He flicked his finger against her throbbing clit just once, then lowered his head the remainder of the way and coasted his tongue over her labia. With an errant stroke, he thrust hard into her core.“I want to do that,” she said boldly, brazenly, in a voice that was pure demand. The surprise that had registered on Zane’s face when she jerked him up by his hair turned to confusion.
“And I’d love to watch you do it, but unless you’re a damn good contortionist, it’s a physical impossibility.” She laughed throatily, then quickly corrected him. “No. I want to taste you, Zane. Let me take your cock into my mouth and make you come.” “Oh.” His eyes went wide then, as if her words had only just hit home. “Ohhh… Yes, I’d like that. I’d like that very much.”
Rearing back on his knees, he stripped away his clothes. Anita watched as each layer fell to the ground and finally his long, thick penis was set free. Her mouth watered with anticipation as she looked upon the engorged purple head of his cock. Moisture already beaded at the tip. She’d take great pleasure in licking it away, even greater pleasure in creating more of the salty fluid. Standing long enough to move to her side, he once again came down on his knees. Only he faced the wrong way. He was looking toward the lake, not at her. “What in Heavens name are you doing?” she asked impatiently. He flashed a devilish grin over his shoulder. “Lie back and you’ll see.” Though she was in no mood for games, she did as he asked, and rested her head on the wet grass. She closed her eyes against the pouring rain, and only opened them again when she felt something soft and smooth brush over her lips. Zane’s tongue darted out, flicking between her legs, deep into the folds of her slippery sex, and she moaned aloud. Oh my gracious, how practical indeed!
“I like this,” she breathed, drawing her hand up to wrap around his shaft. He stopped sucking at her to laugh. “You haven’t even started yet.” She pulled back to run her tongue over the small hole at the tip of his penis. The salty, sweet fluid she’d been dying to sample coated her tongue, and she murmured her appreciation. “I do like this, Zane. I can’t wait to feel you coming in my mouth.” “Trust me, princess. You keep doing that and you won’t be waiting long at all.” to be continued...
