Project 1 / Form & Space Manipulation We were first introduced to architecture by developing a series of drafts using basic shapes of squares, circles and triangles. Based on our understanding of geometry and grid, we designed and drew (drafted drawing) a pattern each showing elements of repetition, gradation, and variation. It is then further developed into an extrusion of a textured block model. A dynamic spatial composition is created using a combination of radial and grid organization.

Project 2 / Music School 2016

SITE | TAMAN TUN DR ISMAIL, KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA Children of all ages easily express themselves through music, it easily helps nurture kids in many ways. Music can improve their academic skills, help develop physical skills, cultivates social skills and boosts their self esteem. This may also benefit the society by enhancing quality of future generations. An inspiration developed by an idealogy where a demand for a more visual connection is needed. I derived that this implication is very well suitable with kids. Where having an „open-plan” music centre could increase one’s interaction between another, plus their visual communication and social development. The spatial idea for my project is having a wide / open/ permeable / transparent space. https://www.behance.net/gallery/43187293/Music-School

Architecture Theory / Habitat 67 Architecture Theory is taught to introduce students to the nature of architecture, not only through the issue of design but towards the larger contexts. It is expected to describe and analyse designs and buildings in written form. Thus, students are enabled to articulate their own points of view and develop skills in writing, For this discourse, we were required to do a booklet with our own desired building and title in mind. I’ve chosen Moshe Safdie’s Habitat 67 and talked about his solution on high quality housing in dense urban environments.

Project 1 / Toy Library SITE | JOHOR BAHRU, MALAYSIA This project is called Wonder Emporium. A space where children’s imagination can run wild and free. A toy library is a place where one can borrow toys and give them back. The ideology of a toy libary, is much like a library. However, this is not a typical library space.

Site Plan. Building located at Jalan **, Johor Bahru.

Kids are the total opposite of a library, especially when they are playing. Thus, my intention is to design a library with an organized chaos, in a sense that it’s messy or chaotic but it is in order. Studies have shown, messes leads to creativity, imagination and exploring that can help with a child’s growth. With having toys that are accessible around them, these toys will initiate imagination play. https://www.behance.net/gallery/58361199/Toy-Library

The purpose of leveling is to create an order towards the organized chaos. By where there are several levels, which has different set of toys. Thus, the toys at each level can only be played on its level only. This will create a sense of manner and discipline for the child.

Project 2 / SME Training Facility SITE | JOHOR BAHRU, MALAYSIA Green Haus is a sustainable innovations incubator located in the heart of Johor Bahru, amongst the elite known places in town. This incubator focuses on sustainable product making, where its product can help benefit the urban environment short-term or in the long-run. https://www.behance.net/gallery/58396709/SME-Incubator

In a world that’s ever blooming with products, we need to keep in tact that things must be sustainable for future uses. Hence, we must have less waste, use more recylced or upcycled products, and so on. This incubator is set to be the pacemaker of that knowledge. Where in hopes, it can help teach more about sustainability and sustainable product making. The design intention is to make a centre, that does not only teaches a thing or two about sustainability, but in fact, be a sustainable building as well. With the implementation of a lot of openings, this building uses natural ventilation and natural daylight as its main component.

Landscape Architecture My project is a Sustainable Innovations Incubator, whereby it focuses on product making and furniture making. The intention of my landscape design is to have a green focal point in the centre of my building. As a visitor enters, they can see a grasp of green, which enchants them to enter. The green focal space also implements as an informal gallery whereby there are display of several prototype design. If you enter from the building, it then splurges out into the outdoor, leading to a walkway of the outside environment. The design of my landscape is to bring a visual of green towards my building. Where unintentionally it would be an active space, where people can gather and have an informal discussion.

Architectural Practical Training (Internship) 2017

I served my practical training for a span of 2 months, after finishing my final project. During my training, I was introduced to many new softwares that I did not manage to explore during my years of study. Examples are Rhino, Lumion, 3Ds Max and Adobe Premieme Pro. I was mainly involved with the schematic design phase of the project, being introduced to developing and brainstorming the early phases. I work mainly on creating 3D models of buildings using Rhino, and diagramming works on Illustrator.

Web Design I’ve been playing with html coding since I was 13 years old. I was an avid blogger, thus being so made me develop a few coding skills to have the perfect layout that I desire. With today’s current UI/ UX technology, html coding is less used, and templates are easier to be managed.
