Type: Fast conceptural project Duration: 3 days Role: Conceptural architect of 3-member group Location: HCMC National University The brief for “Under the Trees” was to transform the abandoned land next to a library of National University into an outdoor playground for students. This project was limited in 3-day working called “Fast design project”, which is exhibited at the hall of HCMC University of Architecture in March 2015.

THE CORNER This project proposes the transformation of the anbadoned land into a playground where students could hide in thire own corner, enjoy books. This form deals with the concept of introversies, using walls spltting space into incompletely individual ones, which keeps people both private and public.

In order to make form for the construction, shapes are arranged and combined in many ways. The concept predicts the transformation of the simple shapes into harmonious combination appearing in facades, floor plans and perspectives.

It is supposed to be a urban symbol with temporary art of Vietnamese culture inspiration. Thus, the main objectives of the project are combining art elements and renewing them without losing national cultural identities.

Besides, there are sport center services in where people could play sport, gym, fitness, training... and community activities everyday.

In tradition, Whales are believed to be a supernatural creature. The museum is inspire from Whales’ symbol in order to make form, space. Curves on the elevation of the museum describe the lissomness os the creature
Analize the direction depending on the lanscape
Make 2 main block of exhibition and service on 2 side of the main direction
Sea currents and waves are used to made curves appearing in the museum severally in order to focus on the ocean’s simile.
Split to individual functional spaces
Another symbol of the ocean, the coral image is the vitality of the museum. The image is used in designs of plans, lanscapes, roofs...
