Condensation Technology The amount of heat obtained in case the water vapor emitted as a result of the combustion reaction is released from the flue constitutes the lower calorific value; nevertheless, the amount of heat obtained if it is converted into water phase constitutes the upper calorific value. Efficiency values up to 109% and high rates of fuel savings can be obtained by using this secret condensation heat through the special heat exchanger structure condensing the vapor in the condensation technology. Additionally, emission values go down as the flue temperature decreases, while CO is decreases by 80% and NOx by 90%. Thus, the system is environment-friendly.

Real Cascade System Real cascade system is a system showing the devices individually or in a synchronized way within a cascade system. Thus, the operation and maintenance are facilitated through the backed-up operation of the devices. Nevertheless, the entire system may stop due to a malfunction that may occur in the external control panel and the control panel of the cascade system, which contradicts with the cascade system logic. Airfel wall type condensing boilers enable all devices to have the same information by establishing communication with the interim module.

Control


Electronic Control Unit Using the electronic control unit, it is possible to control all the boiler parameters, and to perform cascade control up to 16 cascades through the boiler. Moreover, the cascade system features the OCL 345 module enabling inter-device communication. This module is used in the systems cascaded as much as the number of devices. The inter-device connection can only be established electronically. • Controlling up to 16 devices via cascade control unit • Establishing communication with other devices thanks to the integrated BUS feature. • LCD screen with Turkish menu • Weekly programming over the device • Primary circuit circulation pump, system pump and boiler pump control

Cascade Control

Aluminum Heat Exchanger The heat exchangers of Airfel wall type condensing boilers are made through the installation of high quality aluminum-cast segments and auxiliary parts (condensation tray, elbows, etc.). • They consist of Al-Si-Mg alloyed-cast parts. • It has a highly efficient special design thanks to the heat transfer surface developed. • Its corrosion resistance and heat conductivity are quite high thanks to the special alloy. • There is scarcely any risk of combustion chamber obstruction as its special fins are designed to clean themselves.

Premix Burner and Modulated Fan The stoichiometric ration (air/fuel ration) needed for a full combustion can be obtained via Premix burner. The premix is achieved and highly efficient combustion may occur thanks to the premix burner structure by absorbing the amount of air needed by the modulated fan structure as per the amount of gas required based on the calorific need for the combustion reaction. Therefore, 109% (50/30 C) efficiency value can be achieved in this premix burner device.

Installation-Related Points to Take into Consideration • Oxygen-free piping must be provided in the system primary circuit. • It is required to use a fixed-setting 6 bar safety valve in the stream line in the boiler sub-connection kit, a primary circuit circulation pump in the return line, and a check valve in the return line to prevent going back in the cascade systems, and a spherical valve in the stream line and return line. • It is mandatory to use a plate heat exchanger to prevent the boiler from being affected by the air and corrosion that may occur in the installation in the systems using pipes with no oxygen barriers. • Maximum boiler operating pressure is 6 abars. If the system pressure exceeds this value, it is required to a plate heat exchanger instead of a hydraulic separator. • As there is no expansion tank inside the boiler, an external expansion tank must be used for each device complying with their capacities (18 liters for 69-125 kW; 24 liters for 155-187 kW). • A fixed-setting safety valve is required to be used, taking the system pressure into consideration, in order for the installation to operate smoothly in the secondary circuit within the plate exchanger system. • The valves to be placed before the expansion tanks must be locked valves. • If the installation features a hot water boiler, it is required to use fixed-setting safety valve at suitable pressure, manometer and pressure decreasing components on the cold water inlet line, considering the boiler operating pressure. • It is required to use an automatic air relief cock to discharge the air that may occur in the upper part of the hydraulic separator, and a discharge valve in the lower part for cleaning purposes. • Air relief cock is beneficial to discharge the air that may occur in the primary circuit on the systems with plate heat exchanger. • It is required to use an air separator on the stream line of the system to discharge the air that may occur in the installation and a residue and dirt holder on the system return line to eliminate the residues and dirt that may occur in the installation.

OCI 345 is a Cascade Module, and it is required to use as much as the number of the boilers in the applications to be cascaded.

QAA55 Modulated Room Thermostat

Three-way valve control. Time is optional. It is for zones beyond one direct heating. It can be modulated. Controls any pump.

QAC 34 Outside Air Sensor

It is a modulated room thermostat. Cabled type. Controls the room temperature in compliance with the time program determined by automatic mode. - Heating mod in compliance with time program. - Temperature setting values based on the "Comfort setting value" or "Decreased setting value" (sleep mode) modes.

QAZ Immersion Type Sensor

It transmits the value to the boiler electronic panel by determining the outer air temperature as NTC 1000 ohm at 25°C. Directly connected to the boiler control panel. Maximum 120 m. (1.5 mm2 cable section) Maximum 80 m. (1 mm2 cable section) Maximum 40 m. (0.5 mm2 cable section)
