A Device Designed for Children with Autism
Children with autism or SPD have a hard time engaging in the activities or environment around them. Our team planned to design a device related to architectural space and digital technologies to interact with children with autism. After observing the behavior and doing research on children with autism, we decided to use technologies and space to arouse children’s senses of audition, touch and sight. We aim to simply imitate an ordinary living environment and help the children to engage with different senses at the same time.

02 HIDE IN THE CROWD
Rennovation of Seven Sages Youth Hotel
Among all the famous sights in Xi’an, Seven Sages hides in the crowd and enjoys its own peace. At this site, the west two yards lost their ability to attract customers, because it is really far away from the main entrance in the east. So the main goal is to bring vigor to these yards. Considering the architectural history, I thought preserving part of these traditional buildings should be the top priority. By following the original urban fabric and imitating the form of these old buildings, more public function was added to this hotel. The rennovation of the youth hotel aims to attract customers and at the same time respect the historical buildings and culture.

Old CIty Wall
One day, when I walked along the north City Wall of Xi'an, I found a quiet place with old trees and clean streets called Seven Sages, which came from an old story that seven recluses hided in a small sage and they drank and wrote poems every day. Just like Tao Yuanming, man of letters from East Jin dynasty once wrote:
On the rich land with a beautiful pool, growing were bamboo, mulberry and the like. Everywhere was in good connections with crisscross footpaths between fields where cocks' crying and dogs' barking could be faintly heard, and all the farmers were plowing, sowing or weeding back and forth. The clothing of men or women was similar to the people outside. The people, old and young, felt happy and pleased with themselves. ------《A Note on the Peach Blossom Village》

According to the feedback from customers, yard No.7 and No.8 can not attract enough people to live there. On the contrary, Yard No.2 atrracts the most visitors and it is the most active zone in Seven Sages. So I decide to reconstruct Yard No.7 and No.8.

In this rennovation, I kept the sloping roof to guarantee the entities of traditional spaces and create solance. More public places are arranged here to attract customers, and most traditional walls are preserved. Now, Yard No.7 and No.8 provide people with more public engaged function to enjoy the quiteness of Seven Sages.

03 AQUATIC TOWERS
High-rise residential Towers Design and Water Management Strategies Design
In this project, we aimed to solve the flooding issue caused by the lifted railway, not only in our site but on a larger urban scale. At the same time, we used the residential towers and water-related landscape as water collection and recycling equipment. So the Aquatic Towers will contribute both to the storm water storage and grey water reuse. In the meantime, in order to make the residents and public aware our water recycling and collection technology, water-related pulic spaces in high quality will be designed for the residents and citizens.

Current Situation More than 6 inches of rain fell in some parts of Metro Detroit on Aug. 11, 2014. The rainfall ranked as second-heaviest single-day rain event in Detroit since record keeping began. Rain continued to fall in the days that followed, and officials in Warren, one of the communities hardest hit by the flooding, estimated $231 million in total property damage to 22,782 affected homes and buildings. State police, similarly, asked motorists to stay off the roads due to standing water. "All freeways in the Metro area are currently experiencing flooding at different points," the state police warned. "Also remind everyone to not drive through standing water as it is hard to determine how deep the water is." Commuters found themselves stranded and people were literally swimming and canoeing down residential streets. Cars floated along highways. While it doesn't appear flooding will reach 2014 levels in Metro Detroit, more rain was expected Tuesday. ------ MLive,Posted Aug 29, 2017

Landscape concept Under the circumstances that there is a large area in Detroit that has a flooding issue caused by the lifted railway, our project can be used on a large urban scale. So, our landscape design is connected with the railway, which can be extended to wherever there are railways. Besides the urban impact, the landscape of our project also has the function of collecting rainwater and providing good quality of water-related landscape.

System 3 Potable Water Supply In order to save the energy used to bring potable water to higher floors, there are there technical floors with water tanks that will serve the residential floors beneath them.
System 2 Greywater Harvest and Reuse The greywater is collected and filtrated. Then it will be used to flush toilets.
System 1 Storm Water Harvest and Reuse The water pounds on site are used to save storm water for landscape irragation use.
Sewege System 4 Blackwater Drainage The blackwater will be led out to the city sewege.
Building Facade
In order to let the water flow down from the top and at the same time provide the residents with good water-related communal spaces, we arranged the position of public spaces inside the building on each floor. As a result, there is a spiral figure on the facades.

Lingshui Psychiatric Hospital Massing and Facade Design
Lingshui is an autonomous county in Hainan, China, where the government put all their efforts on improving the quality and number of infrastructures. In this county, most people are Li people, which is one of the national minorities in China. This project is located on a site that has an existing hospital. The new hospital is asked to include a general hospital for the surrounding villages and a psychiatric hospital for patients to convalesce. It is also important to mention that Lingshui Psychiatric Hospital corporates with Hebei Medical University to train professional psychiatric doctors and nurses. Also, there are really great natural landscape resources in our site, which need to be fully made use of.

Landscape Concept In this project, the topography and natural environment were highly evaluated. The orientation of the buildings was decided according to the terrain. Also, we made full use of the space between buildings and tried to recover the natural environment. So, the roof gardens and were added and at the same time can provide the patients a better place to convalesce.

This experiment is trying to test a new structure type with a smaller floor area on lower levels and larger areas above, as floor numbers increase. Also, this structure can give more public spaces to the city and urban environment.
This project is in Nanjing China. The existing office building needed a new facade that can protect their privacy and at the same time provide more sunlight. My strategy was to use material with different transparencies and reflectance to achieve this goal.

Company:Architectes Ingénieurs Associés, Shanghai Branch Tangshan Hongci General Hospital Duration: 06/2017-08/2017
Tangshan Hongci Hospital was originally built in 1957. The client wanted to add new buildings for inpatients and medical technological space, under the circumstance that the hospital was still running. So the project was arranged in three phases to keep the hospital in operation. The administration building was required to be preserved, so the facade had to be continuous and integral. Tangshan is the city of phoenix. I chose red and orange to be the main colors of the facade, which can bring a positive atmosphere to the hospital.
The hospitals are designed in the same facade language and form, and they are connected by the medical street under the road. The design also creates large green spaces.
