Although this decision may please many, it does add to the many distractions passengers already face.

What if passengers begin to ignore and tune portunity to use their devices? According to the FAA, the implementation of these rules will vary among airlines but the agency expects that many carriers will prove to allow their passengers to use their devices freely and safely. The situation at hand could go both ways. By easing restrictions, consumers will be able to enjoy their technological products even more. Loosening restrictions could allow passengers to use their devices unwisely. Whether these policy changes will truly change the airline industry for the better remains to be seen.
