The annual Art City Days Hometown Rodeo will return to the Springville Arena on Saturday, June 5. Mutton Busters will kick off the rodeo at 6:30 p.m. while the main dirt-stomping, heart-pounding events including Bull Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Bareback Riding, Barrel Racing and Team Roping will begin at 7 p.m.

Mutton Bustin’ is offered for children 8 years old and younger and a cash scramble will be offered for youth ages 9 to 13. Competitors of all ages are expected from all corners of Utah. Barrels and Team Roping will be offered in slack starting at 9 a.m.

The Rodeo Committee is pleased to be welcoming back four-time Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Entertainer of the Year, funny-man and Utah Native “The Wild Child” Troy Lerwill and his high-octane, high-flying motorcycle act. Also returning to the arena are the hard-bucking bulls and horses of local stock contractor Rocking B Rodeos, owned by Mapleton native Brady Burningham, and Utah’s own announcer, the extremely knowledgeable Monroe Mangnuson, a Castle Dale native.

The 2021 Art City Days Rodeo Royalty is Queen Carissa Nostrom, First Attendant Emilia Averett, Second Attendant Sydney Nielsen and Princess Brett Averett.

The Springville Arena is located at 767 W. 1600 South, Springville. Bleacher seated is limited, so audience members are invited to bring their own folding chairs. The arena gates will open at 5:30 p.m. and tickets will be sold at the gate. Please no outside food or drink. Rodeo concessions will be offered by the Springville Rotary Club.

The rodeo is produced for Springville City and the 2021 Art City Days Celebration by Hobble Creek Riding Club. The Hobble Creek Riding Club always welcomes new members.
