The United Way of St Francois County is made up for people who give what they can, when they can, to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors. The basic mission of the United Way is, as stated in our by-laws, to provide funding to help meet the most basic needs of our community; food, utility assistance, housing assistance, social welfare issues (especially, but not limited to the welfare of children), health and education services that benefit the poor or disadvantaged or the community at large. Who They Fund In 2015, the United Way will fund 28 agencies in St Francois County that meet basic human needs. The Goal is to provide these agencies with a total of $180,000 in grants.
