ed Thursday, Nov. 6, 1930, when more than two-thirds of the student
body voted for the Knight as their emblem. This very fact shows that the
students in F.H.S. have high ideals. Knights are vowed to fight as soldiers for the right. They live pure, speak true and right wrongs. Kingsley said “Toll is the true Knight’s Pastime.” The Knight emblem can be made up handsomely in the school colors, black and old gold. It can be made up in silk, embroidery or chenille. Knight is an excellent word to use in school yells because it rhymes with right, might and fight. The emblem will be placed on school sweaters, rings, pins etc.

The end of high school is the beginning of a new life
Just a few more classes, some final exams and then comes the long awaited prom. There’s no doubt about it; summer vacation and the end of your high school career are finally here. Before too long, you’ll receive your diploma and it’ll be time to look to the future. Finishing high school is a big milestone, one that marks the beginning of a new life. And of course your life will be exactly what you make of it, with all your choices and the attitude you adopt. So, are Are you ready for the future? What are your you ready for next steps? This is certainly a time when you have the next stage of to make lots of decisions, whether you your life? know what you want to do in life or not. It’s not just about choosing between continuing your education or joining the workforce. You may also decide to take a year off, either to think about your future or to go on a trip. Just keep in mind that no major decisions are written in stone; you can always change your mind and make different choices later on. The end of high school may also mean moving out of the family home and having to figure out your very first budget. Whatever you do, there’s bound to be lots of change on the horizon. You’ll need to ask yourself lots of questions (and answer them, which probably won’t always be easy), and look after all kinds of details so everything goes smoothly. Yes, you’re at a time in your life when you have to make some important decisions about your future. Are you beginning to have an idea of what your life will look like after high school?
Ready to join the workforce?
Many young people feel ready to go in search of a job when the end of high school is in sight. Some graduates are tired of studying and don’t want to stay in school, while others need to earn money to pay for their postsecondary studies. And some people want to combine work and school, doing both at the same time. Whatever your reasons for entering the labor market, you most likely want to find a stimulating job that will boost your future prospects. You want to work but don’t know yet in what area? You could start by volunteering or applying for an internship. They won’t earn you much money, but they can help you pinpoint your interests and career goals. The experience you gain may help you find meaningful employment later on as well. Another way to get started is by applying for jobs with
Looking for a job? Make sure your resume looks professional
companies who are looking for dynamic young people and provide on-the-job training. You dream of starting your own business or being self-employed? You can take management courses, attend lectures or participate in business startup workshops to learn the ropes. You’re looking for a student job to pay for your education? Remember that even though any type of work experience gives you an advantage, some are more helpful to your CV than others. For example, if you’d like a career in customer service, a service job is a smarter choice than working as a window washer. To stack the odds in your favor, make sure you have a clear, concise CV that is error free and that highlights your relevant skills and experiences. Ready? The working world awaits you!
Are you interested in post-secondary studies?
When you were a kid, you probably dreamed of being a teacher, musician, firefighter or astronaut, at least for a while. And now? You’ll soon be graduating from high school, so answering the career question is paramount. One thing is certain: you want to continue your education. However, this important decision entails asking yourself loads of questions that aren’t always easy to answer. Junior college, technical college or four-year college: there’s a whole host of possibilities for those who wish to pursue post-secondary studies. While some people are excited about the prospect of going to college for a few years, others prefer to get ready for the work force right away with a training program that teaches a trade or technical skills. You’re still unsure about what you want to do? Sometimes it’s really difficult to know which path to choose, which in turn means you don’t know which kind of program you should apply for. If you need help, you could talk to a counselor to find out which type of training or study program best suits your personality and your interests. Talk to the school to find out if you have all the prerequisite courses before you apply. You’ll also have to research your funding options. Are you eligible for a scholarship? Are your parents planning to support you wholly or partially? Will you have to get a part-time job and work during your studies? And don’t forget: it’s important to have a plan B in case you’re not accepted into your program of choice.
College, vocational training, specialized school: look at all the options before you choose.
Would Like To Congratulate The Class Of 2017!
