Sunup to Sundown T‌ his is the first of three sections of the Democrat News Pride Edition. It is a photo representation of a single day in Madison County. Democrat News photographers Traci M. Black and Alan Kopitsky took photographs throughout the county from sunup until sundown, Thursday, May 26, 2016. According to the U.S. Naval Observatory website, sunrise in Madison County on May 26 was at 5:44 a.m. Central Time. The photo at the top of this page was taken at sunup. Sundown was at 8:13 p.m. The final photo on page 12 of this section was taken at sundown. All of the other photos in this section were taken in the 14 hours and 29 minutes in between. 5:44 a.m.—Although its hard to tell through cloudy skies and intermittent rain showers, the sunrises over City Lake.
