Introduction
Marin’s and the LAMà Marin’s was founded as an advertising agency in Paris, France more than 20 years ago. Marin’s was already known as a very creative agency for all kinds of POS display material. In 1997, in response to its customers requests, Marin’s created a standard column, which combines an accommodating folding-unfolding value as well as an automatic opening to the appropriate dimensions and allowing the optimisation of print and material. François L’hôtel decided to protect his invention with a worldwide patent. From that time, Marin’s has chosen to focus on and be dedicated to the Lamà and to its development, whereas its competitors were too generalists in their applications... sometimes unfair in the counterfeiting. The original concept benefits from a constant development in its sizes and options to offer an extensive range of smart and attractive products. The clients’ expectations kept Marin’s creating new environments, new applications thus in a constant willingness to defend its industrial property rights. The concept is now international: the French Lamà has seduced the whole world... • 2001 : First licensees in Brazil, Canada, USA, Hong-Kong and Japan. • 2008 : Marin’s is the worldwide leader of foldable-instant displays. Thanks to its worldwide network of licensees, Marin’s is represented in more than 90 countries and has 26 production centres within this network. More than 12 millions Lamàs have been sold in 2008.

The LAMà and its assets The LAMà is a patented cardboard display system that opens automatically into position. The 3 main advantages of the whole range are : • Transport cost savings • Easy installation • Value for money The optimization of its range of products enable Marin’s to give a response to any customer’s request in an unexpected time frame while other custom built applications could not. Every column can be assembled and linked together to deliver even higher, wider, greater modules. The Lamà can hold products and improve brand presence in every retail sector. Its folding nature, packaging and its easy installation offers the Lamà obvious advantages. Marin’s international network of licensees is able to produce the whole range with respect to established quality criteria. This enables Marin’s to respond to all global corporations’ demands.

The range Marin’s gives its clients the possibility to reinforce their presence in retail stores with a wide range of products from counter displays to 3 meters high columns. The product range is based on standard heights, widths and space saving yet easily personalised with additional graphical options, die cuts, lug-on, leaflet dispensers, etc. The promotional kits combine space saving, handiness, fast installation and brand enhancement to grab the shopper’s attention in helping the shopper to interact with the promoted product. The Là range of tables, arches, rings and pallet surrounding immediately sets your brand apart delivering the in-store impact to generate shopper attention. The LAMà is a quality product and manufacturing processes have been implemented to ensure that the LAMà remains ‘fit for purpose’ throughout the promotional period. All 26 production centres are committed to following the manufacturing processes and procedures as established by Marin’s.

MARIN’S AND THE ENVIRONMENT
...From the very beginning, the LAMà already had obvious environmental qualities which were underrated....
A unique vision: firm achievement within environmental harshness Marin’s was created more than 20 years ago. The past 10 years have been those of the international development around a concept which has proven its total adequacy with the display market. From the very beginning, as well as meeting fundamental customer’s quality and easy to install expectations, the LAMà already had obvious environmental qualities which were underrated. As Marin’s is concerned by environmental issues, its production is focused on friendly environmental processes: easy to sort and recyclable materials, PEFC (Program for the Endorsement of Forest) certified origin of cardboard, optimised supply chain thanks to optimized dimensions. A simple CO2 study gives rise to savings during transportation. For instance, in order to respond to customer’s demands, the weightvolume ratio on transportation of its displays allows Marin’s to reduce the number of trucks by 5.

To sum up, it is important to underline the following: - As it is made of paper and natural latex, the LAMà concept is inherently recyclable. - As it is foldable, light and it has packaging compactness, transportation of the LAMà minimise greenhouse gas emissions. Nevertheless, Marin’s will always develop qualitative solutions which respond to customer’s need within any environmental issues. That is why our Research & Development team does not stop looking for new raw materials notably regarding printed cardboard surface treatments. Inks, laminations, varnishes and glues are being tested to rapidly get a 100% recyclable LAMà. A display is a disposable product, our LAMà will never be the source of pollution; we strongly commit ourselves to follow this route...
